If we sign Vesey, then Murray gets a pass, and I'll figure it was assumed all along that he would sign here. But if he doesn't the fact that you traded a pick for a kid that spurned the team that drafted him and said that would wait until Aug 15th to sign with a team, is dumb

Wow - late 3rd round picks have just become gold?? It gave us a window to talk to him, perhaps pushing us into consideration from not being considered. No matter what happens, it was the proper move.

Source or guess? Guessing guess 'cuz I'm not sure Vesey knows what he's doing as of yet?
- turbo044

Was a comment on Vesey getting paid after his ELC runs out. He won't get paid like a superstar if he isn't playing like one. (hype)

You might want to check with the web site host. Usually they can determine if the extra hits were actually requesting pages, or just hitting the firewall. Sounds like someone is trying to hack your site.

you don't trade myers, staff, armia, lemieux and a first rd pick for

a 4th d man
an echl goalie
and a player to put on the list for an expansion team to take

Time for him to admit he was wrong and salvage the situation imo.

I will wait till the end of next season.

If he does admit it, if it turns out he was wrong . will it make you feel better ?

Going for something you feel is right is good. Finding out its not what you had hoped and still clinging to it just so you can save face, that's where it goes wrong.

It's not as big of a deal to me. They took a risk, it didn't work out. Move on and try to make the team better. That last part will make me feel better

How is it not working out ? is he playing bad ? Did I miss something the past 2-1/2 months? He came back from injury and played pretty decent .

Who cares what he does on his own time . off the ice . When he gets convicted (and not by HB posters) Then I will move on.

Which is fine. I just don't want to see them hang on to either of them for too long just because he gave up a lot and he targeted those guys from his days in ottawa.

this is a good way to approach it...only the time-frame is different for you and murray...he's waiting longer and for good reason, it's his livelihood that's on the line...which is something that pisses me off about kane's idiotic, off-ice tendencies

am of the opinion that he's learning the huge differences between being a head scout/agm and gm

There's no doubt that when he's on, hes very effective and very fun to watch. But it seems like thats only for about half the time. The other half hes either taking really dumb low percentage shots or forcing plays....or he's injured. Im not saying they should dump him, Im saying I would hope that the price we paid or TM liking him from Ottawa days doesnt give him extra leeway

Agreed, but thats why I say it. This is the last year of Murrays deal. Is patience for someone who hasn't really changed since the deal (both on and off the ice) something he can afford?

Fair enough. A lot of that can be improved upon. Too replace him would take another move of a bunch of assets. Which we really cannot afford to lose. We have him now so we are a step ahead.
