Leafs aren't missing the Playoffs. They got a goaltender now, they have the best coach in hockey by a mile, they have 3 x #1 centres (assuming Bozak is gone and Nylander plays the position it would be dumb not to have him play) and they are stacked on wing.
Their D could use an upgrade but it's above average as most teams don't have a Gardiner. - James_Tanner
this is just trolling....surely you don't believe this nonsense? |

For sure, but they played some real good games and lost...hoping they turn some of those around with a little more experience - a little more skill and better goaltending. - Garnie
It's a process that takes time to evolve, I've been saying this to our fans, headed in the right direction but have a ways to go before they get to that next step. |

I just said they wouldn't make the playoffs....not impossible to think they move up a few spots IMO |

"Turns out, it was delightful - even though, I was sort of disappointed that he wasn't born a fully grown old man, which is what I always imagined. What was I thinking? Logistically, I mean. Something along the lines of Alien, I guess".
I just watched this film last month (mostly because my wife made me), and while I thought it was actually pretty decent I had the exact same thought as above. My wife did not share this line of reasoning. |

Yup for sure...I'm mixing up your and Tanners posts about improving vs making the playoffs. I don think it's outta the realm of possibility that they improve one or two spots. |

just a little FYI for you Jimmy Jam, it wasn't the Avs who were playing hardball.
A few weeks before, it was reported that the Avs had a longer contract and worth slightly more that the 5.5m Barrie got on the table, but Newport wanted to go to Arbitration to try and leverage his number up to 6m so he can cash in for more cash after a 1-2 year deal.
But the Arbitrator was favouring more on the Avs side around the 5m mark, so Newport tried to salvage their clients worth and sign the 4 year deal.
You hate the Avs and their management so I don't expect you to find that interesting, just will ignore it and blame Sakic and Roy(who had nothing to do with this) as being the problem |

I am so glad someone read and liked that/ also had the same thoughts. Thanks |

Trading bozak is a mistake, he's an ideal 3rd line centre: he has enough offense, good defensive skills, and a dynamite face off guy. There has to be some players over 25 on the roster after all. Plus most importantly you won't get anything of value back for him. kadri is better trade bait, he can get a good return. Plus assuming all goes according to plan Mathews is 1C and either marner or nylander is 2C, kadri isn't a very good 3C. He'll probably cry about it, and he sets a bad example for the kids, I'd rather not have a player who has been caught for diving repeatedly. |

I hope JT is right about the Leafs and Gardiner but I tread lightly regarding both predictions as I think they're both wrong. |

Good information, until you got so whiny. I praised the deal as team friendly. What do you want?

Kadri will be #1 this year....plus most teams use line 2 & 3 the same amount of mins....or close. |

not whiny just saying how you usually write about the Avs, throwing darts at their management group, you like to give them shots for no reasons
So maybe they aren't as dumb as you think they are |

James Tanner: PLUS/MINUS: Oooooh Child, It's the Extended 3 Hour Addition
Back on Monday for a special Holiday Edition. - James_Tanner
So the Yankees should have know before hand that Chapman was going to threaten his wife with a gun. You may not want to hear this but pro sports teams are businesses too, I know crazy stuff right? The Yankees stink this year, they saw a market that was high in demand for pitching. That was a business is supposed to do, sell high. They should feel great about themselves, they land 2 of the Cubs best prospect for a guy that is goin to FA this winter.

He is not the ideal third line centre.
The ideal third line centre is a guy who would be a #1 on most teams. Bozak isn't even an old-school idea of a 3rd line C because he sucks at defense.
Faceoffs have absolutely no bearing on the outcome of hockey games. They are a worse stat than Plus Minus and that is saying a ton.
Kadri isn't a very good 3C, laugh my ass off dude. If Kadri is your third line C, you have the deepest team at centre in hockey. The Penguins have Bonino and he's no kadri. The Oilers have Draisaitl and they'll be psyched if he ends up as good as Kadri.
If Kadri is your 3C, you have a VERY good chance at a Cup. That means both Nylander and Matthews have become elite players Who can defend that?
I appreciate you reading, but absolutely brutal take. |

Agreed on Batman V Superman. The ultimate cut is actually a lot better than the original. Fills a lot of plot holes. |

First, lame ass meme dude.
Second, the reason they were able to buy Chapman so cheap in the first place is because the Reds wanted nothing to do with a guy who chokes his girlfriend and shoots a gun off in the house.
They knowingly made a profit off domestic abuse, which is odious behavior, even for the Yankees.
I am not surprised you'd find nothing wrong with it, you seem like a really classy guy. |
