on top of that, the Ducks let him walk for nothing instead of qualifying him

there is obviously something about him that nobody likes, perhaps he has the koodies

I really hope the Rangers are done and go into the season with that 2.5(ish) in cap room. let some young guys get a look and keep the space open incase you wanna make a trade or just so you're not taxiing guys to and from Hartford to save a couple bucks

I think if they win the Vesey sweeps, it opens up an opportunity for another trade up front.

But I like the idea of going into the season with ample space, unlike last season

Unless its something on the D, like a Klein trade which im down for, then just roll with what they got.

Who gives a (frank)?
Baseball is as boring as watching paint dry. Haven't watched since the '80s strike and really have better things to do than nap on the couch and wake up every couple of innings to check the score I loved it as a kid when I played and went to games, but now I couldn't give a rat's ass.
Here's some Turks for ya Dundee...

baseball watching at home is diff than @ game.....I pay attention 100% when at game..at home i watch from 7pm to 8pm then the juggling starts with a line up of DVR shows & pauses to checkin every inning ...hate when i miss a big swing or a comeback but price u pay when your the juggler of the entertainment eves events

no way : need a move to get Nash & 1 vet D moved (Staal) most value of vets

or at least the vet D log jam ..we just have too many stalwart D & not the progressive types we need more of beside we have Macrath to be a stalwart type D with sgt of arms duties

i have seen line combos with JT on 3rd line ? I dont see that

2 man combos is what i usually start with & build from there
ADD
Step & J T Nash?
Z bad & zucc return from trade ?
Hayes & kreids Fast
4th line is Oscars when but Joors & others will make our 4th line very good
i like Hrivik Grabner gerbe those 5 can rotate depending...

Defense Mac shey gMan Klein Macrath Handle ... not a bad 6 ? with a few more for depth......

His goal production has been pretty damn good.

The kid is 25 years old and scored 22 goals in 49 games 2 seasons ago and 14 in 61 games last year. Seems like a young 20+ goal scorer just sitting out there but the lack of interest and lack of value Florida got in return is definitely alarming.

If I recall, the knock on him is that he doesn't play a stitch of defense. Like doesn't even give a damn about that side of the puck.

Shoots a lot. Scores a lot. Doesn't have the greatest possession numbers or defensive game but he would be a very solid 3rd line 2nd PP option.

I'd maybe consider him for 4th line duty if I were a GM. 2nd PP unit like you said, but keep his even strength minutes down and keep him playing against weaker competition. Maybe even 1st PP depending on the team, but if he's not going to contribute anything other than shots then he really probably shouldn't be out there against any marginally dangerous talent.

If you actually are deploying a 4th line capable of scoring that would probably be his ideal fit. I just say 3rd because most teams still prefer a 4th line full of plugs that are gritty and hit.

he is a 1 trick pony. he can shoot. he cant create his own shot and doesn't play D very well. I will admit his 1 trick is very valuable, but teams want more than that out of players.

I would take a flyer on him, 1 year $1.5M to see if he can gel with someone.

I would agree. once Vesey signs I think what is left of the decent UFAs will also sign.

I cant remember the last time the rangers went into the season with "ample" cap space. im not sure they are allowed to. haha I agree though, they should save the space so that they can possibly take on cap at the deadline.

Cant see kreids on the 3rd line with the contract they just gave him. I think 2nd line winger comes down to JT or Buch(assuming they don't sign Vesey.)

And therefore I don't see AV wanting him, I think we have enough forwards coming into camp as is right now we don't need anymore unless a steal becomes available of course.

I heard Edmonton offered Draisatl straight up for Girardi but Gorton hung up the phone because of how bad Draisatl is at faceoffs
