Been putting up bottom 6 numbers with top 6 minutes. Dude is no longer an NHLer - Feds91Stammer
Bingo
He can win you a faceoff, but unless he can immediately metamorph into an effective NHL player 2 milliseconds after he takes the draw, he isn't worth the veterans minimum.
I would bet that 25 or more teams in the league had a more effective option in their organization, on a two-way deal, hurried somewhere in the AHL.
Vermette should go play in Europe and enjoy his final years in style.

Who gives a (frank)?
Baseball is as boring as watching paint dry. Haven't watched since the '80s strike and really have better things to do than nap on the couch and wake up every couple of innings to check the score I loved it as a kid when I played and went to games, but now I couldn't give a rat's ass.
Here's some Turks for ya Dundee...

Watching it live isn't bad. Watching on TV is a little tiresome. Playoffs are still great though.
If we miss out on Vessey which is likely, Pirri/Hudler/Vermette could all be solid additions although Pirri looks like he has trouble staying healthy. Most games he's played in a season is 61 (last season) and missed the entire playoffs. Hudler and Vermette could play on the 3rd line wing or 4th line center and Vermette could be great on Hayes' line, helping with his 35% faceoff %.
I just don't see the fascination with Brandon Pirri, I never have
the Panthers dealt him for a 6th round pick while making a run to a division title, the Rangers got more for Etem than the Panthers got for Pirri, put that in perspective.
I think it's pretty obvious why Pirri hasn't signed yet and it's nothing to do with waiting for the Vesey domino....

His goal production has been pretty damn good.
The kid is 25 years old and scored 22 goals in 49 games 2 seasons ago and 14 in 61 games last year. Seems like a young 20+ goal scorer just sitting out there but the lack of interest and lack of value Florida got in return is definitely alarming.

on top of that, the Ducks let him walk for nothing instead of qualifying him
there is obviously something about him that nobody likes, perhaps he has the koodies
