I believe his ECL still has to be 3 years. It is one of he reasons that The Preds were so upset, because sign with them would have aleady knocked off 1 year.

As for who he'd rather play with. I don't care what anyone says to him, No playoff team will guarantee him a top 6 role and mean it. His agent has to be smart enough to know that at the very most they'll give him a handfull of games to prove himself, and then he'll be demoted if he can't perform. On a non playoff team, if he can't perform in the top 6, they'll probably still keep him in around in another role making it possible to reach atleast some bonus. A team in a playoff race will not keep him around if he can't perform. He'll get sent to the AHL and he can kiss his bonuses good bye.

Big time. You are right. Big time. Maybe HOPE for a 50-60 point player but only expect to get a responsible 20-40 point player. I think that's fair. Hockey nuts(like me) just have nothing else to ramble about in the summer.

I would still say the getting Bozak for nothing has been great for the Leafs and I fully believe he will be traded at for a late 1st and B prospect or a 2nd and A prospect.

Gretzky could do it and so could maybe 5% of the NHL players at the time. Now 95% of the players can do it and the others are Polak types that maybe they can do it, but a first pass out of your own zone probably shouldn't be a flip pass. Just sayin'
