There was an article at the Hockey News that echoed some of my thinking.

Kind of shocked that so far there has not been a former Blue back on a one year minimum salary such as the two former small LH dmen Jackman and Russel. Really shocked Jackman has not come back for a tiny salary as a seventh man.

No to Jackman.

Nonononononono.

I wouldn't take him as a seventeenth defenseman.

Kris Russel i could get on board with.

RUSSEL no Jackman YES. Let Jackman come home where he belongs but as far as him playing………………

What if we do end up trading Shatty? If no player comes back then i would let Jackman play. Russel is just weak.

He has contracts available to him, its his choice where he wants to play. he could retire now and still be very happy

"Tage Thompson, RW (STL): Thompson was the early story of the tourney, racking up points before I got there (USA had split-squad games before making cuts). He was pretty solid against Canada, too, crashing the net and utilizing a strong stick to fend off checkers. There was a fire to his game that scouts didn’t see in his draft year."
The Hockey News

That is great to hear.

He's certainly an upgrade from what the Flames have had to deal with over the last couple of seasons.

Word of warning: when he's given the job as the clear cut #1 goaltender uncontested - he tends to wet himself profusely.

Hope your locker room has durable, stain resistant carpets.

Not sure anyone has posted this yet....

Winter Classic price Ranges -
Cheapest seats $105 per ticket plus fees and plus printing
Highest side was in the $400s.

Ticketmaster Printing fee - $10 per order

Ticketmaster ticket fees ranged but what I have seen and heard is around $15-$20 per ticket.

Did you get any?

I bought mine today. Spent more than I originally planned, but i really wanted something where I would be happy sitting. Got some in 233, so right behind a goal like i have now at the STC. I'm excited.

Mine came out to be about $325 after fees. So around $20 per ticket in fees. It's a once in a lifetime thing, right? So I splurged.

My window opens up next monday. Did you guys have to use the internet or is there a way to purchase over the phone?? Hope fully i have some money in the bank by then so i can spend it all on W.C. seats, apparently i can only buy 2 seats as that is what i had last season. Damn its gonna be expensive but its worth it right. Too bad my brothers will have to stay home and watch it as i expect it will be sold out before it goes to the general public.

If i have to order online then that means i have to take off on monday just in order to do so. Spending money while losing money sucks

Internet only and not through your normal STH account website. It's a whole different website of which the link is in the email they send to you about the winter classic.

Hoping to stay in town for Christmas through New Years to catch the game. I'll kick myself if I miss this one. It's awful only seeing two games live each season these days.
