Michalek thinks the reason the Leafs brought him here is to guide the youth? Pretty sure it was a salary dump so they could move Phaneuf. At least the man has some self esteem and doesn't think of himself as useless.

Leafs aren't very deep with skill and experience up top, and the current management staff will likely roll with the vets....Marner & Nylander will really need to impress if they're going to take a top 6 spot. If not, Knights & Marlies they go.

Agree completely with the lack of experience. Nylander will produce on the Leafs in this coming year -count on it. He wasn't 100% health in the Marlie's playoff run last year and his short stint on the Leafs was impressive - with limited support from a talent thin team. He was one of the best picks in 2014 - should have gone top three. Only the pick by Detroit (Larkin) compares. Marner is destined to be a solid NHL scorer - he probably starts on a third line but who cares? He has nothing to prove in junior and will not be there.
