with a motivated hall they may be able to make some noise.. though I don't think they have the pedigree for a long playoff push.

If anyone is looking for more reasons to hate Bettman and enjoy legal jargon.

Worst top 4 in the league IMO but their forwards are starting to shape up.

If Severson, Santini and Merrill can be top 4 guys I could see them being a threat in the next couple of years.

Yeah I think they need to figure out what they have in some of their young D men ...a good goalie covers up a lot of mistakes made by young D men

I still say make a pitch to bring back Dale Tallon.
Our 1st ever draft pick & a proven GM.
Chicago Panthers say no more.

There is surely a position on the Canucks that could be tailored for him.
I always liked what the late great Pat Quinn did for us bringing hometown boys here & building up a legacy. TL Smyl r todays examples & Gradin as well.

Ronning Adams Adams etc were fun times....

I wanted Brouwer in that flavour but oh well.

Morally that stance is reprehensible, but he can't admit there's a connection without facing pretty significant legal repercussions. I'd be pretty interested to see Fehr's response to those questions.

I think the PA is acting just as or even more reprehensible.

The fact that emails have already been released showing Daly and Bettman have already had conversations linking concussion, CTE and hockey, I feel like its too late to take the stance they currently are.

Amazing as well that they are ignoring the NFL and it's change of stance.

The NFL is a huge capitalistic reactionary league.
The NCAA is no different & even more disgusting.
As for the NHL its trending dangerously in those directions.

NFL for a long time denied accusations in the face of overwhelming evidence and scrutiny in the medical community. Finally this year, that shameless head doctor of the NFL stepped down.

I think the significant difference between the two is how slow and resistant the NHL players are to acknowledge its an issue. With the NFL guys were much more concerned with the head injuries and the repetitive hits they were taking, even in practice. The NHLers are still advocating keeping fighting in the league and celebrate the big physical component of the sport. Comparing interviews of the two athletes, NHL players talk about how big a hit was in changing momentum, but NFL would never.

Also, and this is only my opinion, when you hear an NHL player talk about a dirty hit, I rarely get the sincerity that they didnt like seeing it, or were apologetic for it. Football guys do prayer circles and such which sells me more that they care. Just my thoughts on it

After reading the Sabres blog i've backtracked on getting Kane.
Those r serious charges & the kid is beyond maturity issues.
Only a 180* complete turnaround is going to help him.
I don't see it happening & he is throwing away his career if i am correct.

Ok who can we fantasize about getting now?

Landeskog or......😜

I'm pretty sure he did hit his prime on a contender.

Then he went to Jersey and The Canucks got swept by the #8 seed.

That Luongo contract has altered history in ways we will never fully comprehend.

C'mon Bo, you're our only hope of salvaging this clusterfudge.

Yeah... It's a good thing that hockey is such an amazing game because the league itself is run by a lot of shltty people, on both sides of the table.

my dad used to repeat a similar saying, something about hockey having to be a great game, to not get screwed by those clowns running it.

Kane is being trade. Team has now clarity on legal situation, value back up. Vancouver make strongest offer. Is believe he is already traded

Harkki ‏@scanadusa 23h23 hours ago

Am told when Vesey make official sign to Buffalo, Evander Kane and Josh Gorges will be trade to Vancouver for first round pick.

Harkki ‏@scanadusa 23h23 hours ago

Am told Buffalo might be take non roster contract (Higgins? my addition) in deal as well, for buyout purpose- then trade round 1 pick for defenseman Fowler

Harkki ‏@scanadusa 23h23 hours ago

Much of this deal already negotiate and hand shake official. Is wait for July 17.
