I understand that. So was Jerome Iginla, but I'm not paying 2 first round picks for him now. In a trade you're supposed to pay for what a player is worth now, not what he was worth 6 years ago. So like I said, at the moment, both players are injury prone, and both aren't meeting expectations. I never said they have the same value. And Rose has a hell of a lot more than a harassment charge hanging over his head. Granted it's civil, not criminal. And Kane will likely have a civil suit against him too, but still the circumstances are vastly different.

And Rose still got moved, which was the point I was making. They didn't sell him for pennies on the dollar.

Except nothing has been said about there being locker room issues here. He was still 4th in goals and 5th in points on this team.
