Chicago might have the inside track to Vesey now, but man up and at least pay Buffalo a 5th round pick to sign the guy, this dirt bag maneuver is beneath a dynasty team like Chicago. It just shows how little they may truly have left in the system to stoop this low, Chicago's days are numbered.

You are allowed to scout any player you like, you simply can't have contact with them. Perhaps GMTM hasn't phoned he NHL because he probably has his own people there that have conformed all chicago is doing is scouting. You can't just file a tampering charge because someone is watching a game. It doesn't matter how high up in the organization they are.

Teams are scouted all year...every year by GM's.
Why would they send a low level scout...that makes 0 sense.
As long as they are not talking to him then it's all good.

There is a way.

A rebuilding team like Philly could slot him on the 2nd line with Couturier and Schenn.

Chicago could slide him right into the top 6.

Buffalo is offering him a chance to play with Eichel so that is a top 6 role.

Some teams can live with growing pains because they are at a different level compared to others.
