I think Wideman will develop to a quality #4 (ceiling maybe a #3). Boro gonna Boro. He's not the worst 6 dman. - SENS 613
Wideman is a decent #6 NHL puck moving D man. He'll be 27 years old half way threw this season. I think he tops out as a good #5 NHL guy who could get some #2 power play unit time and see his numbers go up a bit moving forward. I don't think he'll ever be a top 100 NHL D man( top 4 ) but I guess it's maybe possible.
Obviously Karlsson is elite, Ceci has a high ceiling, and Methot is overall solid. But it's thin. - rangerdanger94
Its not the best timing to talk about defense...it's never been as thin for rangers. On the other hand sens defense has vastly improved and has more potential at this point in time due to young emerging defensemen in ceci. Karlsson keeps getting better and is a top 10 player in the league if not better. Aren't you sore Nash couldn't score last season? Nash can't score...you can't win championships.
