what's so hard to understand? less than 20 goals in year one, they take sbisa right away, less than 20 in year 2 they take sbisa right away. he might get injured or go into rehab or jail.... before the season ends...

I can understand what they are doing but when you have a bunch of other teams in the same boat, especially with the draft lottery and Vegas, you are not guaranteed to get that pick by finishing last.

how many teams can successfully tank at the same time and how long will a rebuild take if there are some bad drafts?

That would be intriguing but dependent on if Hansen goes back with the Sedins.
I'd be fine with that if scoring goes up & we get more balance.
Still we need more goals from D & the PP to improve.
Add all that up & we could enjoy a fun season.

This is what didn't make sense, until the seasons is over, Buffalo could argue that he could still come back and get a ton of goals. Then Sbisa's contract is over. We should try to make them take Sbisa now.

the approach to liquidate everything, or just about, for draft picks and/or prospects sounds very extreme... throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

trading known quantities for potential when it comes to picks after the first round sounds risky. and there is no guarantee the players you pick in the first round will work out either.
