If he got monahan money that would be a terrible negotiation by Benning.

Couturier sucks in the F/O circle as he has never been over 50%
Horvat took the 9th most F/O in the NHL, and was over 50%

Hopefully he gets the same or less than Couturier.

I think flames want them both at the same over 8 years but I think they want 5-6 year deals so they can ring the bell at their peaks for one more massive deal after this one ...heard something like this on the fan

as per Jake, I hope he starts in the AHL and plays a ton in every situation. I don't think you can saddle the kid with first line NHL responsibilities this early in their career.

I think the difference between Kane and other NHLer headcases like that is the guy is ego driven. He isnt abusing substances because of a troubled past (not that I've heard anything other than a few big drinking nights), the guy likes the glamour lifestyle. He works out like crazy because he also models, (what other NHLer does that?) and I am sure he feels he's a big deal. That type of attitude wont get you in substance abuse program, just annoy the (frank) out of your teammates for beings in love with himself

If you are a young kid now 24 and have lived in Atlanta Winnipeg and Buffalo, what are you going to do in your spare time with very few friends or family. The dude can't handle his booze , no doubt about it. He becomes an idiot. I think this last wake up call for him. He has been seen recently , practicing in Richmond, eating pizza, shopping for salmon with his fiancé.
