Neither do I but they are the exact kind of team that will think they are. Those are the teams that make the huge deadline splash. The true contenders make small depth moves. I definitely don't see a player of Shattenkirk's caliber getting moved within the conference either.

It's not out of the question, but regarding Florida specifically..they just gave Yandle that laughably terrible contract...I don't see them backing up a dumptruck of assets for Shattenkirk. They should have just traded for Shattenkirk instead of Yandle.

Shattenkirk already has the George Costanza bald spot at age 27...can't imagine him playing on the Rangers through his 30s

If they got out of the Bolland contract I could easily see a trade based around a 1st, crouse, and maybe more with a lucrative contract heading shattenkirks way.

Don't see Nash going anywhere unless it brings back a puck moving d man. I still think Ducks would be perfect partner. If he goes to anashvillr it will be a straight salary dump. Problem with trading Nash for a dman is it hurts us tremdously in our top 9. Buch would likely have to go in the top 6 and our 3rd line would be Grabner Hayes Lindberg (when healthy).
