MOST of the stuff involving Draisitl is a joke. I strongly believed in the offseason McD was tradeable(still do) and Draisitl was someone I would trade him for. Most felt McD for Draisitl and 4th overall was a pretty fair deal(maybe a few minor tweaks) but most felt McD is the whole team and he's untradeable.

McD is tradeable. But for a proven forward. You do not risk a sure-thing elite top pairing defenseman for Leon Draisatl. You risk someone like Skjei or Buchnevich. Even Stepan. But for McDonagh to be traded, it needs to be for a Gaudreau or a Panarin or a Kucherov.

What's ur master plan for this team? So far, I've been right pretty much every time a trade has or hasn't happened.
St. Louis- didn't like the deal at all. Gave up to much for a 39 year old, who only wanted to come to NY, though some would say we don't make the SCF without him.
Yandle- gave up to much once again then made the big mistake not trading him at the deadline this year.
Staal- same as the above 2. He's been done for years.
MZ for Brass- like it. These are the types of deals we need to be making.

Nash should be traded.
McD and Stepan should be shopped. Duchene should be seriously looked at. For as many experts we have on here, how is no one talking about how we will be the 30th ranked team in the league on faceoffs.

And this is not "blow it up". I'm talking similar deals to the Brass deal where we get players back with prospects or picks to go with it. Hank is aging but we have one of the top goalie prospects in the league with 90% of our team in their 20's.

Never was a fan of Stepan - Mr. dump in, 2nd assist
If we're only trading 1 top6 player, I'm ok with trading Brass. However it would've made more sense to trade 2 top6 forwards to finally get a real numbah one centa.
Stepan and Kreids + a high pick/top prospect for a #1C.
Moving Nash at the trade deadline should bring back a top4 D or a top6 forward ++
McD has value - but he's a top10 D in the league only for us NYR diehards
