I'm looking forward to seeing Subban's progress. From all indications, he's been developing nicely and addressing and working on some of the weak areas of his game. It would be great to see him improve on the defensive side of the puck in order to take the next step up, as he's obviously talented when it comes to bringing the offense. I think he could be a bit of a sleeper in terms of grabbing a roster spot - if not this year then definitely the next (as long as he continues to develop at the same rate)

I read that he has a feelings coach working with him in the off-season.

Would the goal be to strengthen his feelings or weaken them?

I don't think he has a chance to make the team but I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a call up if there is injuries, especially if Larsen doesn't work out or is the injured player.

The kid can flat out play in the offensive end and on the PP. I'm not sure he will ever be more than a MA Bergeron but you can always hope.

Just talking about them, is what I read. Whether that provides strength or weakness will depend on the validity of said coaching. It's complicated.

The IIHF has requested the names of the 14 men and women hockey players who tested positive for banned substances during the Sochi Olympics.

Will any of them be NHLers? and will the NHL take any action if they are?

Varlomov, Nikitin, Ovechkin, Tikhonov, Datsuyk, Malkin, Semin, Kulemin, Nishkuskin, Anisimov, Radulov, Tyutin, Markov, Bobrovsky, Tarasenko

and thats the ONLY game he has. For NHL D there is more to the game than the offensive zone and he has yet to learn that so he will remain in AHL till he discovers this. Luckily Green is very active this way and is trying to teach him.

Perhaps it would be easier to convert to forward. I think he'd make a good gritty winger that can score and man the point.

It might be what gets him to the NHL but he isn't as bad as you are making it sounds in his own end. It's not like it is a switch and one day he gets it, it takes time and he has shown improvement. He also has proven he can physically compete which was a big question mark for him at the pro level. He needs to improve his decision making with and without the puck.

As far as converting him to a winger, I don't agree, his skill set works perfectly as a Dman and I don't see a point in wasting those talents.

If true, would be an absolute terrible deal for EDM imo.

My casual reading on the internet is that Slater Koekkoek is not developing as the Lightning would wish. I also don't think that Callahan has many years left. If I were to trade for Tanev to the Lightning, I would focus on Kucherov or Drouin. I don' know how the Lightning will be able to keep that team together.
- Rocket_Launcher

That's what I'd like to see JB take advantage of... their inability to fit everyone on the payroll, so he might be able to get a bargain somewhere..

seems Slater got some quality time when the coach needed an alternative in last year's playoffs...

are you familiar with common written english?

I used the word "like" to point to an example of what it seems that other guy appears to want in this forum...

I've got a better idea. How about you provide the data to support your argument.

Good luck with that request, he is not a canucks fan at all, he comes in once or twice and makes derogatory statements about everything canucks and runs.

Several here have tried to engage in conversation, such as Lefty's response, but he is a coward, doesn't even have the courtesy of being a troll.

Between 2010 and 2016

Daniel has 65.85 % of PP time and has provided the team with 75.56% of GF.

Henrik has 65.25% of PP time and has provided the team with 75.53% of GF

Daniel has 30.02% of 5v5 and has provided the team with 37.14% of GF

Henrik has 29.59% of 5v5 and has provided the team with 35.57% of GF.

So in other words both Sedin create a higher % of goals relative to their ice time while on the PP by a small margin. Or I don't think his theory stands up.

A fun tool for those who care.

Facts and statistical data, I think youre in the wrong tread. That is clearly not what we do here.
