I cannot, for the life of me, see why some are defending Holland.

Guys like that shouldn't even get their name on the back of a jersey. They are "whatever" players. Seat fillers.

If we are going to win we need to get rid of all whatever players and fill spots with Martin, Hyman, Sosh, Leivo, Brown, Matthews, Marner, Nylander.....players that, at least, do one thing noticeably well.

Martin should play with Mathews and Nylander really, with him on the ice with those two and the other team being to scared to go anywhere near the kids gotta figure they each score around 50.

I'd rather miss the playoffs for another decade than watch this happen to our team after the whistle.

Not sure. Maybe if it was Martin, Matthews, Nylander (Which I consider a 3rd line but hate putting Bozak above Matthews.)

Thought maybe trying a little extra protection with the rookies would be a Babcock move.

TBH, I really don't know how good Martin is outside his 4th line duties. Is he the type of player than can hockey better than how he is normally used?

No, because of the stupidity in thinking Holland is good could lead to delusions of future GMing.

Signing Holland in way shape or form means that he is guaranteed a roster spot. He could be traded for pucks or waived and buried in the minors.

Same thing with Michalek, Greening, Laich...any of these vets.
