The guy's only been one of the best power hitters in the majors for the past 8 years. And oh yes, he hit that bomb that knocked out Texas in the playoffs last year. If they can sign him for a reasonable amount 3 years with an option - they should make every effort to do so. Besides being a great power hitter, he has consistently been a team leader in runs and OBP. WTF do you mean crap?

I think hes easily replaceable in the field.

He is slowing down. Move him for some pitching. The Jays dont need his bat. They have more than enough guys who can hit, they need pitching.
