You should worry more about the below average intelligence of Benning and one of the weakest ownership groups in the NHL which have assembled a softer than a package of fresh marshmallows team. Between the aging and very soft $7 million a year Sedins and Olli Juolevi - Vancouver is on the express elevator down. As far as LL and his age goes, if memory serves me correctly Scotty Bowman won his 14th cup in 2015 at age 81. Lou certainly has had more success with fewer resources than any of the pukebags running the Nucks.

I agree with those offers too.

I like the idea that Toronto will no longer be the place for crappy players to pick up a big pay check.

If Toronto has done one thing consistently in the cap era, it has been spending to the cap on terrible teams/players.

I will be nice to change that culture too.

I have no problem with the offers for Holland, Corrado, and Marincin. Play hardball with the borderline players that don't show too much potential. Play nicer with the players that might actually become good. Giving more than is deserved to players is how you end up in cap trouble.

The only people that thought the Leafs were being stingy with Mathews was the media and they did to try and drum up hits.

Leafs don't need Vesey we have enough young forwards
Only way I'd take Vesey is if he is short short term signing and tradeable
Use him for a piece to score us a nice healthy horse of a defenseman
But we all know that will not happen

No i implied the Leafs can waste money.
Good business when losing makes money hand over fist.

Nobody can quote where i claim 28th is any better than 30th.
As for UFA's it remains to be seen but we all know the Canucks r not a contender.
Sign of success is what happens next not the past.
