To summarize, Holland is to hockey what Ottawa is to Canadian cities. Meh.

Their skill isn't equal so no let's not say that.. Hyman isn't very good. Why people have a hard on for Hyman I will never understand. Hyman might be an ok 4th liner depth guy. More then likely a mediocre AHL guy.. - ClarksonDavid
Their skill is NOT noticeably different.
Just because I'm not licking Holland's ball cheese doesn't mean I'm gobbling up Hyman's either.
Point is....Holland isn't a big loss. That's all. Pretty sure we can fill his spot with something a little less mediocre. |

I remember when Holland was brought in on trade years ago and some were already pencilling him in behind Kadri, or even challenging him for a spot. Few years later, here we are.. he's a guy who didn't really find a role to excel at with Carlyle and now with Babcock.
I'm not going to poop on him and say he sucks like some, if we could sign him year by year around 750k I'd be happy with that.. 4th line minutes, and a player that could move up and down in the roster or play on the PP if need be, but we all know that is likely not what would happen contract wise. I'd rather take a flyer on a player like Soshnikov or a free agent signing from Europe for that role. |

Leafs Management must be getting ready to all head off on vacation, on August 15th, after they sign Vessy and break Buffalo's heart again.

Hyman is not that good and i cant see him ever really more then a filler and I think Leafs are better with Holland in the line up over Hyman. Holland is a mediocre nhl player but he's defiantly good enough to play for the Leafs. |

I doubt we sign Vesey now, especially with the Leivo signing.. and It was 1-way, right? |

One way deals don't matter. He has to clear waivers to go down either way, it just means he's guarenteed his 600 grand at the AHL level |

Why sign Vesey when we already have Leivo. Is that what you just said?
Leivo's deal is 1 way, but it's far under the $900k per contract that can be buried in the minors. |

I have been saying....while posting line ups....that one of Sosh or Hyman will not be the player that everyone "thinks" they are....that was mostly directed at Hyman.
But I do think we have players in our system that are better than both Hyman and Holland.
Sosh, Leivo, Brown are 3 players I would play before Holland or Hyman. |

Oh - Steven_Seagull
Best catch up on Canadian news. It's already in Ontario, for the last few months....about 5 cents per litre and Justin is getting ready to throw down on his, once legislation clears the House of Commons. I wonder if these clowns bothered to ask Russia, India, China and the U.S., for when they were going to impose a Carbon Tax on their constituents?

I like the fact Hyman goes hard to the net, which while it's second nature for players in the teams, seems to be against the rules in Toronto |
