This isn't a charity. Trying hard doesn't mean you get a job. I've played hockey since I was 3 years old. I guarantee you, if I got a spot on the Leafs roster, I'd give it 200%. But trust me, you don't want me out there. Cause I'm no too good at the game. The most use I'd be out there is picking a good player on a team the Leafs are chasing and taking a run at his knees. I'd love the $1M paycheque.

He's an alright young player, and it would be great if he landed somewhere, but he's nothing special.

The problem with Holland is that he's not gritty or big enough to play a typical bottom 6 style. He's also not skilled enough to provide much in offence. So he's like a 3rd/4th line tweener who has durability issues. Signing Josh Leivo for 2 years at under $1M per will be a great signing. He has a much higher ceiling than Holland.

He won't be used in shootouts this year. He also won't be getting an PP time in the future. He got PP time last year in an attempt to showcase him for a trade. At least Bozak is defensively aware and extremely efficient on face-offs. If anything Bozak is underrated.

You have to think that's one of the worst things an NHL player could hear these days. It's probably the worst destination of all teams at the moment. At least teams that are a mess right now, like Vancouver, are at least nice cities. And crappy cities like Edmonton and buffalo at least have up and coming teams.

I can't think of a worse combination of a terrible city combined with a bad team that has no future. Can you?

I used to think so when I was 20 and my college roommates would drag me out to On Tap or Zaphods on a Friday night. These days I love it, great food and drink place, centretown isn't as much of a poohole these days either.
