We need him bottom line - MCGUIZZY
35 points last year for 5.25 million. 90% of last year's free-agency class could do that for a hell of a lot less |

Peter Holland on waivers. Do Sabres take a chance on him? - Lilroot9
I know absolutely nothing about Buffalo's minor league system, but I'm willing to bet a beer and a plate of nachos that you already have 3 or 4 guys exactly like him. |

How hard would this board be going at him if he were a Leaf or Bruin? |

Once again, we all get it. You don't like Kane. Now run along and pound sand or something. The act is quite old. |

No one is calling him a serial killer.
Some are tired of him constantly in the news for being a pair of clown shoes. - sbroads24
Right but this is the follow up from the June incident.
Look I want him to be a responsible adult but this is his true first charge.
The alleged sexual assault was just that alleged. No charges.
The All Star break you have an internal issue. He's immature.
With this and I am someone who has had to deal with this in the past due to an ex filing bogus charges against me (not saying this is the case here) but what he was charged with and the usual outcome of these is a 6-12 month ACD. He will probably have to do community service, has to stay out of trouble of that time period and due to his high profile nature will probably have to go through some sort of alchohol or anger management course. Which probably isn't a bad idea anyway.
You're tired of him being in the spot light for the wrong things, we all are. But some of you need to stop treating him like he's going out killing cops.
He needs a wake up call. This could be it finally since it's the first time he's been handcuffed and processed.

just suspend the guy for the year like the Kings did with Voynov and move on from the situation, Sabres dont need him being a distraction. - DDM-Coga
Hey what ever happened with Varlamov and those assault/kidnapping charges with his girlfriend? You know the one where he stomped on her and kicked her in the chest?
Oh wait...Hes still on the team?? |

Some would have already gotten bands for trolling their boards he's a Sabres player so so it needs to be defended I guess |

I suspend him (with pay) until such time as the matter is dealt with. Once it is determined whether or not he is guilty, you go from there.
In the meantime he is not to be around the team or to put on the jersey. - PepinoPamplemousse
It's the off season. Not getting any pay, not playing ,... |

Voynov was charged with domestic abuse... A lot more severe than trespassing (which was likely just trying to re enter the bar after you were kicked out) and non criminal harassment. Give me a break pal. |

Exactly.
If it stretches into training camp, then so be it. It's a pretty easy call to make right now. |

Why, he didn't do the damage Voynov did so he won't get that punishment. - SABRES 89
there is no defending the guy, hes been charged, accused, arrested in a few months period. He needs to get his act together, shut him down, let him figure his crap out and not be a media distraction for the team.
If he plays, his attitude/etc storyline is going to be dragged into the locker room after every game with reporters asking him questions.
Team suspend him so he doestn hurt the on ice product with distractions |

im not saying the charges are the same with Voynov, just that the team suspended him.
Kane is a lightning rod at the moment, if the Sabres dont do something about him, then its just going to get worse. The org needs to suspend him for the time being, do all the optics of that, getting him checked in for help, etc.
If he just cruises into training camp, its going to be non stop questions about him. For the sake of the team and the current players, they shoudl suspend him |
