I think what they do is going to depend on if the videos are made public and how bad they are. If he's actually shown grabbing a girl by the neck and hair and trying to force her into his car, that's a real problem. People can say the charges are minor and no big deal but if the video comes out and it shows what the Buffalo police have claimed that it shows, nobody's going to care that the actual charges are of a minor nature. That kind of behaviour isn't tolerated by most people and shouldn't be tolerated so the team is going to need to deal with that.

If the video never actually goes public, the team isn't going to do anything drastic because there won't be the same level of public outrage.

For example, if there was a video of Varlamov's incident floating around, like there was for Ray Rice, he'd be playing in Russia now instead of the NHL regardless of what happened with the charges against him. If people actually see what happens instead of speculating, and it's bad, that changes everything.

It melts my heart that he hasn't killed anyone. But it's not a good look that he's repeatedly in the news.

I'd rather he just be a good player, and actually play for the Sabres. They invested a lot in him and gave him a chance, and considering how much I appreciate what Terry Pegula's done for this city, I get annoyed when someone embarrasses him

Yes . There was one incident someone said they needed a heart transplant and they shared it on Facebook and everyone around the world helped him find one

There was another one that had a brain tumor and he didn't have the money and his parents posted on Facebook and people shared it around the world and raised money to save his life

That's what the police claim the video shows and what one of the plaintiffs claims happened. If the video gets released publicly, we'll see if that was an exaggeration. Hopefully it is but that is the allegation here. Or I should say one of them, the one that sounds most severe. The story has been updated throughout the day as more info has come out.

I think you're getting close to the border of sanctimony.

There's no reason for Pegula to be embarrassed of anything that happened before Kane was brought to Buffalo. And there's no reason for anyone to be embarrassed about Kane's fighting back against the douche who assaulted him in the Vancouver bar. There was no police action there and the civil action was dismissed.

Let Terry worry about whether he's embarrassed or not. You don't need to carry that burden.
