I'm just glad Gorton is in charge and not your dumb overpaying ass.

McDonagh becomes a UFA before Kreider does now
summer of 2019 for McDonagh, that's gonna be big. - jimbro83
3 years from now, def some nice breathing room on that. |
|
|
|
Makes the Kyle Palmieri deal look even better for the Devils. Same age, same cap hit as Kreider, 1 more year for Palmieri, 30 goals and 57 pts for KP on a terrible offensive team, 21 goals and 43 pts for Kreider on a playoff team. KP probably deserved a little more money, either that or Rangers overpaid a bit for Kreider. But I guess that is about right for two players of this quality at that age. Not hating here, just comparing these recent deals. |
|
|
|
Not a bad deal for Kreider. Makes me a little happier about the Rask deal, but all around I think it's pretty fair. |

Have to believe McDonagh gets an extension before UFA. |

FFS stop comparing Palmieri to every player that signs a new deal. Palmieri blows. |

KP probably deserved a bit more. Either way both teams should be very happy about these deals. |

Well Gorton doesn't have a Sprint cup and never won the Daytona 500. So I will have to agree |

so, 6.95 million in cap space with only Hayes and Hrivik left to sign.
this is wild |

Wild, like Minnesota Wild? Or wild because we have a good number of cap space for the first time ever? |

Yea... 30 goals on the last ranked offensive team in the league blows. Waste of money. May even be so inclined to say I'd rather have Palmieri at $4.65mil a year than Stamkos at $8.5mil a year. But to each their own. |

Come on man. Take off the red glasses.
If you could do Palmieri for Stamkos straight up, you definitely would... |

I really don't know what to expect realistically from the Hayes contract, what's everyone's opinion? |

So if Hayes was offered the minimum increase, that would mean he rejected 1.8.
Never mind, my math was way off. |
