Yeah but you can find players that do all that stuff and don't score 40 goals that don't make over $7M. You pay Rick Nash to score a lot of goals, that's why you acquired him. If he's not scoring, he's not worth his contract.

The fact that he's so good at the other stuff is a fantastic added bonus, don't get me wrong...but there are guys out there that can kill penalties and skate that make a fraction of what he does.

For the record, I'm not saying Nash is "done" or anything like that. Just that the criticisms are fair because he's being paid to score, not kill penalties.

maybe they have added enough PKers this summer to take Nash off the PK and let him concentrate on scoring, I've been beating that horse for awhile

I've taken to just flat out mocking people on facebook now. I hate everyone I'm friends with on social media, even my real friends sometimes. I just scroll down my feed and make fart noises at this point.

One really good thing about this off season which hasn't been mentioned is bringing in a bunch of guys who play the PK, might decide to give Nash a break here to keep his minutes down.

Edit: (frank) you Jimbo. Being 1st on twitter isn't enough.

Less minutes on the PK certainly won't hurt him, that's for sure. Grabner should still be pretty useful on the PK, that was one of the very few things I loved about him. Always a threat to pick a pass off and be long gone on a breakaway.

Actually Jimbo mentioned it just a few posts before this one.

So...nice original work there, Melania.

He had a rough year but he's one of the most prolific goal scorers in modern NHL history

is it crazy to think if he's healthy he bounces back with 25-30g?

i could see him come out with a 30g-30a type season if he stays healthy

Frankly, I don't think that it's out of the question to see him hit 40 again if he plays a full season. Likely? Maybe not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

If he gets all his iCF60, iFF60, iSF60 numbers back up and his shooting % comes back to his career average you have a 25-35G 55-70P guy.

Not defending it, but I don't think they really "pick" the bathroom.
