That's like saying he's a better person than Ray "I murdered someone and tampered with evidence then rolled on my friends so I could get off the hook" Lewis, or his buddy Ray "I punched my wife in the face then dragged her unconscious body around by the hair" Rice. - jmatchett383
He might be. We know Vick was a piece of poop who then got signed by the Eagles.
Edit: Don't take it too serious, I'm more pointing out how Philly signed a horrible (frank)ing person, not advocating trading for Kane. I feel bad for Buffalo fans if he doesn't get his poop together because it looks like their team is on the verge of being competitive again after sucking for so long.
He's a RH Vlasic... Flyers don't have any of those in the pipeline. - Tomahawk
Tanev would be a great partner/replacement for MDZ on the top pairing. But I can't see Vancouver letting him go, unless they have a really inflated view of what Gudbranson can be for them.

I didn't like the Vick signing. Didn't like the Flyers getting Billy Tibbetts. Cousins was accused of something and, whether or not he did it, wasn't ever proven to be in the wrong. If nothing else, he put himself in a bad spot. Since then, however, he hasn't been in the media for any of the wrong reasons unlike Kane (Evander and/or Patrick).
Maybe crazy, but if Winnipeg can't come to terms with Trouba, could you guys see the Flyers flipping Schenn to Winnipeg for him? It seems like Trouba is playing the, "I'll stay in your frozen wasteland, but you better (frank)ing pat me," and Schenn may be more willing, where as Trouba may be willing to drop his price a bit if he got back into the States.
It won't happen with arbitration 3 days away, but just thinking they're 2 players where their teams seem to be having trouble signing them. Plus, Winnipeg has a pretty nice defense and has Morrissey/Kostalek coming up but could use some up-front scoring. Again, just a thought. I'll have to see what NHL16 says about this.
In Vick's defense, he was absolutely humbled by his whole "experience" and seemed to show genuine remorse and repentance, going along with tons of charity/community work towards dogs.
Whenever I say that, people always throw their hands up and say YEAH WELL HE JUST DOES THAT FOR GOOD PUBLIC RELATIONS HE DIDN'T REALLY CHANGE PLUS HE'S STILL A CRIMINAL. And that's fine. I, personally, don't see Vick as a "dog killer".

I do believe that he changed his ways. Whether or not it's for PR doesn't matter, he's not doing it anymore.
That said, the dude tortured and murdered dogs. Really, this guy had no problem with taking a dog that was bred to fight, and holding it down while it drowned. That's absolutely disgusting to me. I know we all make mistakes, but he killed dogs with his bare hands. I can't let that pass.

No.
1. Trouba will cost more than just Brayden.
2. Trouba is seeking a big payday. More than Schenn is, and Trouba has had just as much inconsistency. He has actually been trending in the wrong direction as opposed to Schenn. Not worth the cash he will want.

It was just more like an unspoken rule at the time. If Tim or Bill posted a new blog, whatever debate that was going on died with the old message board.
Downie came in and for 11 or so games (after he got himself concussed in his first game), that line caught fire and sparked their turnaround. After that, he was nothing but a boat anchor dragging that line down, which is why he was scratched for an AHLer. He faded fast, and the line actually performed better for the last 2 1/2 months when he was not out there with them.
Just to be clear, this is not me attacking you or being defensive, just giving my take of your idea. - jmatchett383
Well I'm not seeing you making fun of me in bad taste or taking something I said from an old message board to create friction in a new message board, so no offense taken.
I just really liked the line. I liked what a healthy Steve Downie has to offer. He looked good with the Pens the following season when he maintained control.
