I would do one more big trade .

Benning has filled the gaps now and we can sit back , keep our draft picks , develop them and ease them in to the NHL.

We no longer have to turn over the entire roster.

I still think we are one player this year (2LW) to having a very competitive roster.

We can draft a center next year.

I necessarily wouldn't trade or give up too much to get Draisitl because center is not a weakness.

There are probably less than half the teams in the league that have a blue chip C prospect.

Yep agreed. Draisitl is a beast, I watched him play lots in Kelowna. I would pay the price.

I have a bit more faith in JB's scouting, also knowing he tends to like bigger more complete players. Which RNH is not. That said, who knows what he could do with the right team and situation? It's not in the west though.

Yep, pretty much.

When Hamonic was being shopped around last year I heard Benning turned down a Tanev for Hamonic offer. I also have heard similar trade proposals immediately shot down soon as Tanev is mentioned.

It doesn't matter really what you think. Benning has been very active on the phones the last few weeks and Tanev is not part of the deal. He is going to be a Canuck. He brings what Benning wants, he has a very respectable contract and he makes his partner much better.

MacIntrye also reported about Benning being very active does not include Kane or Landeskog.
