Tanev is a 2/3 guy who has very little offence who plays well defensively ...Sam Reinhart is a second overall pick who just scored 23 goals and 42 points as a rookie ...he is going to be very good in this league for years

I'd take Reinhart for Tanev str8 up, if offered. Don't see how Buff needs to add. This whole Hall for Larsson deal has really increased ppls the value of defensive Dmen.

That being said, now you've filled 1 hole and created another. Pick your poison. Too bad the Canucks aren't dealing from a position of strength (depth).

Essentially stats wise a Landeskog for Tanev trade straight up would fly.
A tanev for Sam Reinhart would be close but well has to make sense for the teams. I don't think that one does.

Drouin plus a pick plus take some salary back probably coburn for tanev

Jones for Johansen was more along the lines of what to expect ...but Seth Jones value is much higher than tanev

Stevie Y would be fired if he tried to trade drouin for a tanev type ...these tanev for young high first rounders are just none sense ...his value is not in the same category as a Johansen, Jones, Reinhart, or drouin

Did any of you hear the Ian McIntyre interview on the 1040 today. It was very good and very hopeful.

He raved about the speed and leadership at prospects camp. He said Carcone looked very good .

He said Juolevi Demko Boeser and Stecher stood out, and how mature they looked.

He said Boeser is probably the reason Canucks passed in Tkachuk . He said he thinks it will be hard to keep Demko off the Canucks 2017 roster.

He said everyone on Canucks roster should be available for trade but Tanev being moved is very very unlikely.

I heard from the Carolina coach also earlier in the day that every GM and every NHL coach knows who Chris Tanev is and how good he is.
