Chia has been here for one season and he has made the team bigger, tougher, more skilled, and has improved our defense and goaltending... You guys can't be for real... You just can't be. You've gotta be trolling.

What fast young skill has he shipped out other than Hall?
Oil still have Nuge, Eberle, Draisaitl, Pouliot, Puljujarvi, Yakupov and that McDavid kid. Hardly say he demolished it.

He was never top pairing in NJ....

Yes he made some nice easy freebee deals (Maroon, Kassian), I'm still hoping(and believing) Talbot is the answer, Got Lucic(spend like a drunk sailor but I'm still happy about it), but panicking on the Hall deal was bad.

He hasn't done anything a good GM (not MacT) couldn't have done. But he has done something a good GM wouldn't have done.

If they were freebie deals, doesn't he deserve credit for getting those freebies? You can't tell me other GMs wouldn't want "freebies."

Most teams in the NHL would have given Lucic the deal he was given... And what's this crap with the term? He'll only 34 when his contract is up. And he missed like 3-4 games over the last 6 or 7 years due to injury, so it's not like he's not durable

And again, he didn't panic on Hall... I don't know why people assume this. It was stated that he was scouting Larsson for over a year... And if you look at what Larsson has done from a defensive perspective, I'm excited. Like I said... Since 2012, he has been the number 1 d-man in the entire NHL in 5 on 5 situations. He's something we desperately needed.

You guys are going to love Hall. I'm hoping Larson makes people realize that the trade isn't as one sided as seems right now. Hopefully 40 games in we are happy with him. I hope he has thick skin, because is going to be heavily scrutinized.

I'm sure I'll be happy with Larsson. I'm more nervous about the health of this team, and the continued development of Nurse.

Lucic, Larsson, and Puljujarvi's skill combined > Hall's skill... If you don't want to include Puljujarvi (which isn't fair btw) I will say that Lucic + Larsson's skill > Halls... Don't mistake skill for offensive ability alone. What Lucic does... That's skill... What Larsson does... That's definitely skill. Chia is building a more well rounded team... Unless you like finishing last (or close to last) every season, you should like what Chia is doing... Adding size, toughness, skill, defense and goaltending is OK with me.

Iggy should compare the team before Chia got here to what it is now. Not saying Chia is responsible for every addition (McDavid for example) but you still have to include that player, because if you're not going to include draft picks, than half of the Oilers wouldn't be able to be included from the past either... No Hall, Eberle, RNH, Draisaitl, Nurse, etc.
