Just because an opinion is the strongest doesn't make it the best.

Blind homerism. Some just want to bury their heads in the sand and ignore the fact that Chia is an idiot.

Or maybe some of us would rather see how his version of the Oilers preforms before we make our judgment. Or would you rather we just skip the season and assume another bottom 5 finish?

The NJ offense has been a train wreck for years but Hall should be a major help in this regard. Not that I expect one player to make all the difference but it's a big step in the right directions.

The problem with the team is as the O gets stronger the D is getting weaker; at least in the short term... My expectation is the overall results won't be that much different but the Devils will become more exciting an bit more competitive night in and night out.

Oh I did, just don't think there is any real relevance to it what so ever. Hall has always had great line mates. Played with healthy offensive zone starts.

Lucic/Puli will offset some of what Hall brought to the table. Larsson makes the team more complete...

Are you saying that this Blog is proof that the Oilers are worse than they were? That the team is AHL calibre without him?

LOL.

Can Hall ever be a 90+ pt player?

If the Oilers are a better team, that still doesn't make the trade a good one.

The poor construction of the team in Edmonton falls SQUARELY on the shoulders of ownership and senior management. Hall could've won a Cup already, and had a successful five or six years, like Seguin if the Oilers had drafted properly and built their team around centres and defence.

Zero playoff games in his career has nothing to do with his personal ability!

Seguin totally carried the Bruins to winning a cup

It disagree, but that the oilers are a better team after the trade won't be known for almost a year

being an oilers fan you igg should show some support instead of bashing the team you so call go for. Seems to me that your a one player lover and not a team lover. Ive read alot of your comments since the trade and you have nothing good to say about the oilers and the changes they needed. Being a fan means looking at a new year and understanding that changes need to be done. If the oil did nothing I believe you would still be here complaining about the EDMONTON OILERS whom I as a real fan support the team no matter what. look for the bright side of things

the trade was bad yes. But the Oil needed a change. Tired of seeing the same thing every year. The oilers are bigger and better now. Taylor had the oilers best D on the ice at all times which wasnt much. But much better than what the rest of the team had to work with. so he had support more than his counter parts. We now have a stay at home d man who can move the puck and can win the battles on the boards. we have enough Offence, time to get the D we need

Interesting question here. Is Schneider still the best player on the team ? I think he still is but either way I love having two elite players now It's been a while !!!

Talbot had a rough few months adjusting at first but he pulled himself together half way through the season. But still the scoring chances against talbot with no d is the same as any goalie that played since jason smith and pronger left the oilers.

In other news water is wet and ice is cold.

Halls a great player but as good as he was he couldn't carry the team by himself. Wingers can only do so much to impact winning.

The Oilers have enough talent plus with Lucic and eventually Puli to not shed too many tears over losing Hall and overall are a much better 200 foot team with Larsson in the mix.

Slow summer. I imagine we are going to see this over and over again.

Juju falling on the Oilers lap changed things I believe... Esp for them to trade Hall...
