I think really good is a big stretch.

He was scratched for some playoff games and played highly sheltered minutes. I think it was more of him "not looking bad" than looking really good.

I really was just trying to make the point that almost no college free agents (in recent memory, before someone points out Boyle or St. Louis) have a significant impact on their team, drafted or undrafted. The only one I can think of that turned out to be a reasonably decent player is DeKeyser.

Well Hayes had a good rookie season, last year was a let down. A bit early to call Hayes a bust. He has the tools.

Can someone explain the fascination with Vessey? Had a good college run, but are scouts saying he is a NHL ready player?

I mean Matt Gilroy was a great college hockey player. Not saying we shouldn't be interested in Vessey, I just don't get the hype.
