Prust sounding desperate for a job this year. If we could get him for a mil for a year, I'd take it. Can't rely on Martin to do all the heavy lifting.

I'm not a huge fan but 1 yr 1 mil is nothing

Now that's a guy who would make alot of sense for the Leafs.... short term at least.

Loved the Wiz when he played for the Habs.

yeah he missed a ton of last season, did he not?

those 3 are going to have to carry the team offensively *up front* - with Karlsson chipping in his usual insane amount of points.

the rest of the team is pretty MEH if you ask me.

goaltending won't last forever with AnderSON either..

- Lucas.Neilson

Anderson somehow always has amazing games vs the Habs.

But yeah... I agree I'm not a big fan of Ottawa's team as a whole either... they have some good elements though but they're not there yet.

Which kinda makes the Brassard trade more puzzling, I saw Ottawa as a pretty young team, slowly building something interesting.... by trading Zibanejad for Brassard they kinda switch to "win now" and I don't see them having the players to compete unless they bring defensive help and a better goaltender.

But I guess you could say the same about alot of teams built to "win now" and still having major holes in their lineup.

Surprised Wisniewski hasn't been signed yet.
- mykokes

Apparently the only hold-up with him signing a new contract is he's not very good and everyone knows it.

Stone is a very, very good player.

I kinda still laugh at him for the whole "micro-fracture" thing with Subban a couple years ago but he's probably the 2nd best player on the Sens after Karlsson.

Didn't Brassard and Hoffman play together at some point? That should help him..

- Scabeh

Stone really is very good. Does it all actually, (frank) the Sens though. They have some very good forwards and decent depth upfront but their defence is not good I don't care what anyone says Karlsson obviously great but Methots very mediocre and Phaneuf is Phaneuf, he may have an ok year this season but he is going to go down hill very fast and right now at the very best hes a number 3 dman but hes probably hardly that anyway and Sens fans overrated the poop out of Ceci.

I love Prust, great guy, was great in building team chemistry and helping the young players for the Habs when he was in Montreal....

But he has slowed down considerably... it's not a surprise if he had trouble playing as a regular in Vancouver....

Still a top 4 of Karlsson, Methot, Phaneuf and Ceci isn't bad at all....

But yeah the bolded couldn't be more right.

Anderson has been good for years, gotta figure he starts to slow down a bit in the blue paint.

I still think the brassard trade helped the Rangers a lot more than it helped the Sens, and I even think Brassard is better (at least right now).

Sens a bubble team 8-10 is my guess.

Yup. If I'm making a team and I can pick any Dman he is my guy. Completely controls the game when he's on the ice it's unreal if you pay attention to it. People that hate on Karlsson really don't watch him, makes every player on the ice 10 times better when he's on.

Agreed. Sens have very good wingers in Stone Hoffman Ryan and two decent number 2 centers in Brassard and Turris and Pageau is a pretty good little player himself. If Anderson struggles Sens are in trouble though.

It's less than what Gleason is getting paid from the Leafs and he isn't playing for them or playing at all.

Anyone else dislike the new logo. Also don't like that they made it abnormally large on the jerseys.

I've never liked the Leafs' logo. It lacks any kind of creativity.

We are the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Let's get a maple leaf, and write "Toronto Maple Leafs" in the middle of it.

And now, just to make it more confusing, we've gone back to something that looks like a deformed oak leaf.

Completely disagree on the logo. I think it's sharp and looks (frank)in sweet

Though I will be getting an Away Jersey because Blue on White is so much nicer.

I thought I read the AHL was doing half the season with Home as white jerseys or something like that. Hope it is a precursor to just flipping back entirely
