100 percent agree here. Risky, but he's worth it. - Mancalledsting
Could be but I think Kucherov sin't going any where unless someone throws the mother load at SY.
I think Bishop, Garrison,Filppula, and Coburn are the candidates most likely moved to make some cap space. That said you never know. |

In this case.. I would offer sheet Kucherov (and I never advocate that) and give up the first second and third rounders - Dan Petriw
I think Stevie Y would match and unload salaries for what he can.. Would he trade Kucherov for picks without the offer sheet? Can't see him taking that deal. |

They're not dealing Kucherov, nor is anyone offer sheeting him. Especially not Snow, he loves doing business with Yzerman and isn't going to burn that bridge.
They will inevitably trade Bishop, either to us or DAL. They may be able to convince Filppula to waive his NMC. They'll find a way to get Kucherov under the cap at a fair price. |

I agree... I think the Bolts and Flames are waiting to see who gets signed first to use as comps. Gaudreau, Monahan, and Kucherov should all be in that Scheifele range of 6-6.5 per |

Agree, Tarasenko(sp) I think is a good comp to Kucherov and he's at 6.5 as well. |

barzal is only prospect i wouldnt trade. I think he going to be best player not name Tavares that we drafted.
Ironic - in 2011 strome was drafted 5th, Kucherov was drafted 58th and Strome and De Colle wouldn't be enough to get him. Amazing how it works.

Rolosson trade
Gervais trade
Trading up to take Ho Sang
Trading up to take Beauvillier
Not saying there were any groundbreaking deals, but they have a history of doing business. Even if offer sheets were relatively common, I'd have a hard time believing that Snow would screw him like that.

very true BT . that's draft was actually full of studs just seems we missed them. That's the power of having good scouts.
Zibanjad #6, Scheifele #7, Coutourier #8, Hamilton #9, Brodin #10, JT miller #15, Saad at 43, Trochek 64th , Gaudreau at 104, Shaw at 139, Palat at 208th.
All these guys have done more than Strome has for us those far. |

What sort of compensation would Tampa be looking at if Kucherov signed the offer? |

if he was signed above 5.5MM It would be a 1st,2nd and 3rd pick as per they NHL bargaining agreement. under 5.5M it would be a 1st and a 3rd.

Totally agree, this is where the Islanders were lacking under Wang and it was good to hear Ledecky mention this the other day. |

Scheifele was a big leap at #7 many had him going in the teens. But Isles need D-men and Hamilton was the guy many scouts had higher them Strome. If they did maybe the don't draft Griffin Reinhart the following year and take Forsberg who again many scouts had higher. |
