I know most ranger fans are totally upset but Brassard trade but its actually a decent return. Zibenjad will likely be better than Brassard and rangers got a 2nd round pick in return (since they traded all the others away)

Not to worry, after Zibenjad has a few goals, every ranger fan will run out and Buy his jersey and call him them his favorite ranger.

As for getting Kucherov. that would have been nice but doesn't seem like its going to happen. Im totally content with holding on to strome.

Maybe on twitter, which is basically the short bus of the internet, but the trade is being praised overwhelmingly by most Ranger fans.

Why the (frank) is this in bold?

Would LOVE to get Kucherov. However we are talking about the GM that wouldn't trade Hamonic for Taylor Hall straight up, so who knows. (Allegedly)

I still think Snow will get SOMEone before the season begins, but it probably won't be on the level of a Kucherov.

Ur Gm made a sweet deal, traded Brassard at his peek value bc of his career year (something Garf lacks) for a younger player who can provide similar production & getting a pick back, any Rags fan that is upset over this doesn't know crap n who Zibby is.....

That's it? I thought Brassard had a larger hard on fan base than that.

Well I don't go on the Twits. Don't get me wrong Brass was very well liked. I liked him also, but I said at the end of the season, if they want to trade a center, it should be Brass and not Stepan.

I think player for player, its pretty close with a slight favor to the Sens. Zibanejad has the much higher ceiling though. We also got that 2nd.

I don't think it was every Hall for Hamonic straight up. And to Snows defense we aren't exactly deep on Defense and have never really had Issue Scoring.
Last thing we need to do is become the Edmonton Oilers, and yet they keep drafting forwards. Ever see the stat on Isles when Hamonic plays the most mins. We win most of those games. I would have hard time parting with guy that Bleeds Blue and Orange like Hamonic.
If that offer was on last year, yes we should have taken it. I don't think it was.

If Edm even makes the playoffs it will be b/c of McDavid. Lucic wont be that difference maker. Same could be said about Okposo in Buff.

Perhaps you are right. However, we've been talking about a top line winger for years now. At some point you have to bite the bullet (in some way) and bring in another top talent to take the team to the next level. Guys like Hall and Kucherov, paired with Tavares, would do that.

On the score sheet? Likely not.
But I am hoping he'll keep Richards like Getzlaf, Perry and Thorton on their toes. Guys like that have been pushing the Oil around for far too long.

You're right, he's not there to hang 50 goals on the score sheet. He's there to protect the young talent. There'll be a little less pushing around in Edmonton this season.

The issue this team has is depth scoring. Nobody has stepped up to provide that consistent secondary wave of scoring. It's been JT, then KO, then a big drop off to whomever was next. JT needs that winger that hang with him put up the points. Maybe Ladd can be that winger. They also need Lee/Strome/Nelson to step their games up and provide points. Same with Kuli & Grabo. I do realize that they still need another piece or 2, but that's for another day.

Tavares 33G, Nelson 26, Okposo 22, Lee 15, clutterbuck 15.
Isles were 11th in team scoring which was drop from 6th in previous season. again wasn't terrible. Hamonic defense make a big difference. if pullock was farther along I don't see how snow would have pulled trigger on hall for Hamonic immediately.

Lees number should improve again. Strome should provide most upside. I dot believe Barzal and/or Ho Sang may make this team this year.

No, not terrible but definitely needs to improve. I also say that with the understanding that Lee got hurt and missed xx games. I don't remember how many. That's also a factor, how many more points would he have scored? Possibly increasing others totals as well. So maybe the numbers don't tell the whole story. I do agree with you in regards to Hammer. That deal is done with, he's not going anywhere.
