That doesn't mean anything. Price got injured first because Kreider crashed into him from a breakaway, how does Weber protect against that? Last time, he injured his knee while doing a save, so again no use there.

"protecting Price" has nothing to do with preventing injury. goalie injuries are generally freak occurrences and rarely occur from players taking liberties with the goalie. where Weber will help is, he will make opposing players think twice about parking 6 inches in front of him or getting too close to him, or if they do, they have to at least pay a price for it (no pun intended). maybe that factor is overrated, but the Canadiens have not had a defenceman like that in many years so we wouldn't really know.

If 5 PKs played 5 Shea Webers the 5 Webers wouldn't even score.

I know no one will say this but...is this a race issue? It just doesn't make any sense to me why this trade happened. I'm not buying the Habs teammates not liking PK either.

It's not coming from players. It's coming from coaches and management. Subtle "off the record" digs at PK strongly implying that the reason PK is gone is his own fault and a divisiveness that he created among his teammates.

you can see hockey canada is corrupt by the fact Bertuzzi wasn't on Team Canada the year he finished 3rd overall in points and was the most dominant power forward in the game for some time...

Also, the fact Marc Savard was blackballed... along with other players over the years...
