They scored their first goal less than a minute after Talbot goaded the clueless goon into a fight that served no purpose for the Flyers, and that the Penguins players admitted fired them up.
It was Carcillo. - Feanor
I agree that it fired them up. It was stupid and pointless. However, simply being fired up does not equal winning. The Flyers had a 3-0 lead halfway through a home elimination game. Why could they not get equally fired up and/or protect the lead?

Yup, one big save by Biron, as I mentioned earlier, would have swung the momentum back. I think the bad rebound/soft goal caused the team to sag as much as anything.
If someone slew-footed Shayne Gostisbehere into the boards like that and a Flyer cross checked the guy in the face, I'd be cool with it. - jmatchett383

I just keep going back to when he took the lumber to that Capital rookie during the rookie game. - MBFlyerfan
Yup, that was awesome. He is going to be scary when he really puts it all together. While the game is more about skill and speed than ever, there will always be a place for a huge, mean Dman with good wheels.
If Morin ends up being his partner some day, some opponents are going pay dearly daring to touch Ghost. - BiggE
I could see Morin with a guy like Provorov. Play hard minutes against top lines. Then followed up by a Sanheim - Hagg 2nd pair.
I like what Gostisbehere brings but I still see him as more a 3rd pair, pp specialist or someone you sneak out when down a goal at times and 3v3 situations

This would be ideal. Ghost would still get his minutes as he would be the #1 PP guy while saving him the hard minutes playing against other teams top lines.
If Morin, Sanheim, Hagg and Provorov are all better than Ghost and push him to 3rd pair duty, they will have the greatest defense of all time - PhillySportsGuy

Don't you want your best even strength players playing the most even strength minutes? - PhillySportsGuy
I do, but I don't want to beat the crap out of my smallest offensive defensemen playing hard minutes against players who will be beating the crap out of him. We already saw that happen over the latter part of the season and the playoffs.
As I said Ghost will make up his lesser ES minutes on the PP. I would rather have him doing that and getting Ozone starts rather the Dzone starts as part of the top pair if at all possible.
