I'm playing Fallout 4 right now, its pretty fun - doppelthat
What platform? XBONE, PS4 or PC? I like the console mods. They did a good job rolling them out considering this is totally uncharted territory for a console game. PS4 problems are proving just how hard it is.
I've got ~200 hours into it, probably more, over my 2 characters and I've only seen about half the game. In the main quest I just started the part where you have to pick sides. I don't want to spoil it for you. I like finishing my main Fallout quests at the same time I finish everything else even though I know I can continue playing after the main quest concludes.
I've put a lot of time into my settlements. I've got a couple of towers about 95% done with just the finishing touches of clutter on a few of them. But he past 20 or 30 hours or so just Richarding around with mods on my XBONE. I haven't actually progressed my game since they came out. lol
Is it just me or does it seem the less time you have to play the less you actually accomplish. Proportionally obviously. For the sake of argument: So if you can only play for an hour you might get 3% done, but if you can sit down for 4 hours you can get 20% done. I just feel like if I only have a little while I end up just putzing around in my inventory/settlement because I know I can't play for very long, so I won't want to start a longish quest.
It's not a perfect game by any stretch And there are some big changes that they could've done but didn't. They could've taken ammo variant/ammo crafting out of New Vegas. Make your choices matter more like in NV. Up to the point I'm at the main quest is a disaster.
But it's a revolutionary game in the fact that they were able to tie everything together seemlessly...ish
All-nighter game sesh, here I come! Starting riiiiight, meow. Wish me luck. My buddy and I are having a race to see who can beat Rise of the Tomb Raider by 1:00pm tomorrow. Only 21 minutes behind schedule!! Oops |

You asked me to name 7 forwards, but a year from now, we might go the 8 skater route to protect a good defensive core.
Also, is it official that we dont have to protect sam and jack? - seedy
Anyone on an ELC doesn't have to be protected
So yes, Jack & Sam are safe
So is Bailey, Guhle & Nylander, etc
Basically,
The start of this season has to be your 3rd year (or more) of playing in either the AHL and/or NHL (combined)
Anyone who meets the criteria must be protected
Since this is only the start of Jack & Sam's 2nd season, they're safe
And even if u went 8 skaters
(Which there's no reason to do unless we trade for another defenseman)
Then what 4 for wards do u protect over Kane?
O'Reilly & Okposo, obviously
But then who?
Ennis could make sense if he gets back to form
But that still leaves a slot for Kane...
Unless you'd rather protect Foligno, Larsson or Girgensons
Idk?
Just tough to see why they just give Kane away
I'm sure he still has some trade value
So of we're done with him, I'm sure Murray would move him for whatever instead of getting nothing back |

The earlier so called scorched earth policy aka TANK left no veteran leadership.
Kane this year or next has no mentors around to guide him
That said i expect him to be a TDL deal unless a nice offer happens sooner.
His future is in the balance & its not in Buffalo IMO |

These two suggestions are correct. He doesn't have mentors, but it isn't because the Tank stripped the club of them, its because he hasn't found one for his particular personality. Reinhart found ROR, Jack has Molson. Kane just hasn't clicked with anyone yet.
I'm hoping - I have to admit I can't say I'm *thinking* - that Murray is still willing to give Kane another chance, and that before TDL he finds a way to avoid the heightened spotlight that comes with being in a small sports market in the age of social media. That's what his trouble is, nothing more. I also believe if he can do that, he can be a very significant contributor on this team.
For all his party time needs (and who on this board can begrudge a 24 year old millionaire Party Time Needs) Kane needs to find a bigger city where he can be anonymous and just chill. In Buffalo, people recognize him and get in his face and (frank) with him. When I was 25, if people got in my face I (frank)ed with them back, and we all would too.
He shouldn't be dealt at all before TDL. At the TDL, he should only be dealt if there are more problems or if his play isn't earning his $5.5. Points are not the only way to measure the value of his deal. |

There was plenty of leadership on the team after the tank season. Gionta and Gorges both very respected veterans around the league and one was captain of the Habs. Not to mention Eichel had Moulson. This isn't a leadership issue. Kane is his own person. He likes the nightclub lifestyle. Having all the leadership in the world isn't going to change that. |

So, in 3 days we have seen 3 potential rumor mill landing spots for Kane: Philly, Calgary, and Vancouver. Philly isn't going to trade Brayden Schenn for him. But what about Streit, a prospect (not named Provorov, Sanheim, or Koneckny), and a pick maybe a 2. Maybe Matt Read as well.
If that is a ball park workable deal, what could those other two teams reasonably give that would be more desirable? |

Buffalo should trade him for burros... plus sbisa. That solves their winger issue and gets them a dman to boot. |

If its Possible Pegula is pissed about his behavior, then Murray may look at it as getting a contract off the books thats most likely going to be gone in another year. I get the "losing him for nothing" idea, but thats happening to someone on this team no matter what.
It definitely wouldnt be a conversation if he put up more points for his salary and if there werent roumers that the ownership isnt pleased with how his actions negatively bring up the teams name in the press.
Doesnt Moulson have to be protected because of his NTC?
I thought that i read that NTC's count as one spot on a teams protected list.

Not sure who "Burros" is and Sbisa sucks. Thanks but we'll pass. I would rather have the party king Kane in the line-up than those two players.

I think he meant Burrows. And I agree I wouldn't do that deal. In fact I don't think we make great trade partners with Vancouver. I could see a scenario where Kane stays with us for the season and could be a TD deal or we expose him to Vegas. I would be open to a Kane for Fowler deal though. |

Yeah, I know he meant Burrows. That was my attempt at sarcasm.
I agree with all of your above points. Keep him until the TDL and see how he performs. If it isn't performing, then ship him out. Also, I would do the Fowler/Kane trade now but it does leave us with 2 glaring holes in our top six - assuming Vesey doesn't sign here. Unless Ennis steps it up.

Lol...no way Anaheim gives you Fowler for Kane. Kane's value is Hella low right now. |

Probably being a bit overly optimistic on my part but if we moved Kane for Fowler and signed Vesey that would answer getting the D man and help the top 6. If anything, I would certainly hope Kane thinks hard about his off ice behavior and has a good sit down with Murray and comes back ready to go. |

Some people don't wanna hear the truth. Regardless, my comment stands. Nobody is going near Kane unless it's on the cheap. Won't be any top 4 defenders going the other way based on the current rip off market. |

You are greatly underestimating him. I hope the talk works out and we keep him. He is a relentless forechecker. I enjoyed watching him at the last part of the season, especially the mid air pass to Eichel for that last second goal.
