Has anyone tried the Bocce Club on Hopkins road in Williamsville? The one in Clarence blows and I know the original is suppose to be good but I want pizza tonight and was thinking of trying somewhere new... Seems Bocce on Hopkins may have went downhill? But not sure. Thoughts?
- bluengold12

It's very similar to original on Bailey, not 100%, but it's still pretty good. But this was like 7 years ago, so I don't know if it's gone down hill or not.

No.. I've not watched much of Edler play recently... Just thought his stats were decent enough. Guess not...
- bluengold12

Edler's become a bit of a whipping boy here in Vancouver. I think he needs a change of scenery to get him back on track. His skill level is definitely above average, though, and I think he would do well in the right type of situation - I think the main problem is that he seems to lack consistency (at least the last few years) and also needs to cut his overall minutes back so he can be more fresh and productive. Having said that, injuries certainly haven't helped either, and he's unfortunately had some bad luck as concerns remaining healthy.

I think Erhoff is a bit more one dimensional - he was better offensively than Edler is but I feel Edler plays a better all around game (he hits well, blocks shots, and is a decent puck moving defenseman). I think that part of the problem (other than injuries of course, which have plagued him the last few years) has been having to play too many minutes a night. It seems that when he plays less minutes he is more productive (not sure if it's a mental or fatigue issue but there is definitely some correlation). I think he still has a lot in the tank left, however, and would be a good fit in most teams top 4, or even top 2 in the right situation (of course I'm hoping he avoids injuries and has a much improved year than the last campaign, so that the Canucks can continue to build and improve their defensive core)

How is Sbisa working out for u guy?
Didn't watch much Vancouver hockey this past year
I remember him being a pretty good young player for the Ducks

- jdfitz77

Injured a lot. He has played better this year but is overpaid by 600 K

I wouldn't trade Edler for Kane. He is Canucks best Dman and could bring back more value than Kane.

"Murray could get rid of his off-ice headache but would create an on-ice headache trying to fill the void left by a potential trade of Kane. He may have a number of options, including a trade for the NY Rangers' Rick Nash which, if not handled with the cap in mind, would create a cap-headache."

If I'm up for a drive I'll go to Imperial or Leonardis 100% Those are the two best places in Buffalo for me. La Nova is overrated I feel. Their chicken finger pizza is awesome. But they are one of the places where there slices are better than their pies
- bluengold12

I know I'm going to probably get flamed for this, but the chicken wing pizza from TOPS is awesome. Their regular pizza makes me want to vomit, but the chicken wing is so good. They changed the dough, so it's not as good as it once was, but it's still really good if you're looking for something different, and it's pretty cheap too. $14 for a large I think.

I watch a lot of Canuck games. Sbisa is brutal. He is the Canucks fan equivalent of Mike Weber. Run away very fast from any trade involving Sbisa.

Have you seen Edler play in the last 2 years? That's a terrible deal for the Sabres

This is a good post. Edler has sucked recently.

Yeah but really,So has Kane. Sabres fans talk about him like he's a perrenial 30 goal man, but that once, and 5 years ago.

Kane sucks off the ice, he's a good player on the ice. Scored 20 on a new team, new coach, new system and new shoulder. He improved as the year went on as well. IMO with all these factors it isn't outlandish to think he could score 30 again. I feel as though 25-28 is where he will fall if he is given another chance in Buffalo. Him being traded wouldn't be even considered if these other issues hadn't arose. He could put up 30 next year, on this team and it is very hard to score 30 anywhere nowadays. We weren't a good team last year, but was still 5th in scoring and 4th in goals I believe...it isn't that he sucks IMO.

Yeah well Jets fans felt the same way year after year and couldn't either deliver or stay healthy.

Again, I think what everyone was waiting on was him to stop being a goon off the ice. If Kane came back year after year, potted 20/20, played 60 regular season games and played hard in the playoffs everyone would be pleased. It's all the abusive/punk stuff that is being waited on year after year.

Going back to that original point, he doesn't suck at hockey, he sucks at life it seems.

Exactly.
JB would insist on adding a 2nd and 5th rounder to that deal, and getting a 4th back... he's no fool... oh wait...

It's both. He's a good player. That isn't in doubt, problem is he should be better than he has been.

He dominates in terms of shots and possession, which is great, but he just isn't a smart player.

A compromise is often the mean between two radicals so you're probably right. I would just argue that the character issues far outweigh any talent issues.

Someone posted a picture of a pizza, I think it was from Leonardis and I couldn't believe how good it looked. Made me want to make sure I go there the next time home. What is the board's opinion on the best chicken wings? Don't want to try Teriyaki or anything else, just traditional hot. Me and my dad usually go to Sal's in Depew.
