I get how they might not want Kane anymore,
Just make more sense to get something back for him, even if it's just a draft pick

You might get a draft pick or a prospect for Kane right now, but that isnt much more than nothing unless Murray hits on the pick or the prospect pans out.
I just feel like he would fill cap space for vegas and be an actual servicable player. We get to shed 5-something in cap space.
I assume we're looking at Moulson and Georges to be exposed.....who else? I almost feel like the one years that went to foligno and Larsson were specifically designed to not expose them, but resign them after the draft if they have a good year. If not, Adios.
And again, if Pegula is over Kanes antics, thats pretty much all that matters. Not saying he is, but there are some rumblings. I guess if we were willing to sign stamkos at 10 pr 11, kucherov at 9 is still possible. Just dont want to turn in to chicago, where they're cap strapped and other GMs know when it comes to trade talks.

He isn't worth it right now, but could very well become worth it throughout the duration of the contract. That said I see no reason to justify giving him more than 7.5 at this point.

If Pegula &/or Murray are over his antics,
Why keep him around for another full year?
And of u do keep him for a full year,
Then his value will likely rise & we'd get a decent return for him
I hear u about the Chicago situation,
But that's a price we'll have to pay for having top talent
I don't see much we can do about that either way

IMO he's not worth 7.5 he's a product of how good Tampa is and the system is.
