So the Yotes take on contracts for players that can no longer play to reach the floor, like the Isles with Yashin. I understand the concept, just don't think it worked as planned. - Fenrir
The Islanders finally aren't paying Yashin anymore. They've reached the floor. Again this is a great point. NHL allows some teams to circumvent the cap and get away with it.

The pre cap rangers are why we have the cap and I'm have for the "idea" of the cap. What I'm not happy with is that the 2 TV deals the NHL has and the terrible value of the Canadian dollar makes the NHL's idea of cap pure stupidity. - tomburton99
No question about that.
As for TV, who needs ESPN? OLN is where it's at. All Beards All the Time!
I'm with you on the "idea". That brought teams like the Rangers down to earth and made teams like the Isles spend money. Ultimately made the Isles more competitive, which is good for the league. Look where we are with these failed contracts. Since teams have to spend to reach the cap floor I would like to see an annual non-penalizing one player buyout. I think that might help in the long run.
The military is mostly secular, and a good portion of the populace is too. - mdw7413
So the military that is understanding and not biased towards faith is acting out violently to overthrow a corrupt government. Yeah this with all end well.

Jesse Ventura says this is a false flag operation. Says super thermite was used at Turkeys Parliament building.

The military is mostly secular, Erdogan is an Islamist mini dictator. There have been protests by a good portion of the populace against Erdogan for years now for taking away basic freedoms and trying to turn Turkey from a secularist country into an Islamic one. Not sure what you are saying

I know that. Without any kind of government, Turkey would be ripe to be taken over buy the worst of the worst. That country is going down the road of Afghanistan.

What do you think Erdogan is doing? You do realize he has stacked courts with his Islamist buddies, banned opposition parties. He basically set the country up to be run by his Islamist party for the foreseeable future.
You don't think if the military took Erdogan out and let the western world know it was temporary and that they will hold open elections and reinstate the banned parties, the west wouldn't help Turkey?

Turkey is the farthest thing from Afghanistan - mdw7413
That would be tough. I'm sure the CIA is working behind the scenes to try their hardest to make those "open" elections happen. How much of your tax dollars went into this failed coup?Turkey is mostly surrounded by Islamist countries that want nothing more than to solidify control and give the West the boot since Erdogan allowed US to stage there. Since he is back in power and has the support of the nuts there is no way we are allowed back in, unless we kept him in power.
Probably take a few days to settle the dust.

How the mighty have fallen.
Wife and I were watching the latest Penny Dreadful season until the kid came home. Honestly I would rather watch a coup unfold.
