Agreed, I remember when the hostages were taken in Iran and how crazy that was. This puts it to shame, but having lived through 9/11 working in 2 WFC (wrote a blog on the site about it), my whole perspective has changed.

Still nobody knows whats going on. You have some of the military thats is pro coup and other loyal to Erdogan. You have citizens out that are pro Erdogan and other that are pro coup. Probably will not find out the real story for awhile. Erdogan banned any press that was critical of him.

Pretty smart having the loyalists take to the street. Could have started a war had the army shot any citizens.
Erdogan also had Tipper shut down the interwebs besides the press.
Should be a fun weekend dissecting this story.
