The Buffalo blogger suggests Kane could be on the move with the Rangers and Rick Nash as a potential dance partner. I suggested this week's ago and would do something along the lines of Nash for Kane and a 2nd. Kane is a tough physical fast foward that would really eliminate the need for Glass to ever be in the lineup again. Not bc Kane would become our enforcer but bc we would have a collective "toughness" with numerous guys that could drop them with McIlrath being our heavyweight. McIlrath, Kane, Miller, Kreider all could stand up for teammates if need be. He's also very fast and would fit right into our system. I know his off ice issues but we have a pretty good group of leadership on this team so I wouldn't be worried about that. - nyrangers9479
I am going on record - again - to say I have no interest in Kane, let alone in a deal for Nash. Regardless of if incident is fully true or not, the salary is high, and even though it's 1/3 less than what Nash makes, no desire to acquire him. Too much immaturity and questionable actions to give up Nash to get him.
He wasn't that bad for the Rangers, he just had so many off ice issues. - tomburton99
Ironically enough, given my prior Nash post, I was a huge Fleury fan. Maybe the demons Kane has are of a similar nature to that of Fleury where it controls your life, but Fleury was major productive when he played. To me, he has Hall of Fame stats and led Calgary to their Cup win.
Tampa Bay just signed Alex Killorn to a seven-year deal with a $4.45M AAV. If Rangers could sign Chris Kreider to that type of deal, I would be ecstatic, especially since I think Kreider is better than Killorn.

Schwartz signed for 5.35M long term too. The market for Kreider is getting established pretty nicely. Could probably get him locked in for 4.7 or so.

That would be fine as well. Should be an interesting week leading up to possible arb hearing.
