A complete player is a complete player wherever he plays. He'll be a great player for the Bruins. - Bruiniak
Yes, a complete player could be completely mediocre for the Bruins

Unless TO is unloading a few forwards - I don't see them gunning balls to the walls for Vesey.
And why would any team guarantee a kid with 0 NHL experience top 6 minutes?? - Lucas.Neilson
Lou is willing to guarantee the kid 6 minutes.
At least in pre-season... |

Here's some video of Jimmy Vesey from the Summer League in Foxboro, MA last night (where nobody was talking about over or under deflated balls...) along with his brother Nolan...who just happens to have been drafted by TOR!

That he is in the oldest age bracket in his league and is only now playing great. - AdamFrench
I wonder what McDavid or MacKinnon would look like playing in that league at 20...? |

I love how there's always an effort to change the name to the "Loafs" or "Laffs" or "Makebeliefs" or some poop like that.... but sometimes, you really don't have to do anything to make the name a joke.
Case in point: Buffalo Sabres. - lumlums
In truth, my post on page one auto corrected Leafs to Least....if I was going to rib your fair city I can do way better than "Least".

Vesey will be a top line forward for the Bruins no doubt about it. Saw him in Harvard lots. He is a complete player. - Bruiniak
You're likely right. He'll be the toast of the town in Providence. |

Wrong. There is a reason every single team will try to sign him. He was productive in his couple of years. He was dominant in his last couple of years. |

I wonder how long we will continue to hear the "he will sign in buffalo because it's pretty close to Toronto" argument, when Sabres fans are trying to defend the fact that Buffalo is not a desirable destination - Nastradamus
Why the frank would proximity to Toronto matter?
His dad is the Leafs' New England scout.
He lives in Boston - not Toronto. |

Don't worry about MIB.
As you can see from the comments here, about 95% of Leafs fans couldn't care less if he does or does not sign in Toronto |

If I was a betting man, I'd put $5 down on Boston signing him.

“I’ve said it all along that Boston is definitely on my list of teams that I’d like to talk to. It’s a team that I’ve rooted for all my life, and it’s a team that I watched win the Stanley Cup in 2011,” said Vesey, who finished with 24 goals and 46 points in 33 games with the Crimson as a senior last season. “I’ll definitely be meeting with Boston in August.
“I was a huge Joe Thornton fan growing up. He wore No. 19. I wear No. 19. He was my favorite player. I got to know Torey Krug a little bit through playing with him at the world championships last year. So it would be really cool to play with Torey and put on the Bruins jersey. It’s the team that I’ve watched for my whole life.” |

The reason every team wants to sign him is that he costs nothing, and will have to sign an ELC.
Not saying he won't be good (Bob McKenzie said he could be a top-6 forward this year) but I've been burnt too many times by these NCAA kids. |

Didn't Marner get more points than that in just the playoffs.. and did he not win everything in major Jr. And, we are wondering if he will make the team. (frank) Vessy.. |
