So what's the deal with Mathews contract? Just copy and paste the same ELC the other top picks got on the last decade. Or does Mathews want more/ Lou still thinks he's on the New Jersey budget?

I think its about performance thresholds more then anything personally

Of course there is nothing racist in the phrase All Lives Matter on its own. The context though is that it is used to de-value the Black Lives Matter movement which is trying to bring attention to the fact that black lives don't seem to matter much in the US.
- Canada Cup

If that's the case then it's out of context. At the same time we should all be seeking equality. Which is why all lives matter should be a global cause. Black loves matter as a cause and slogan is pretty dividing by name alone. For some that can be taken the wrong way.

James Tanner says hi.
- Aetherial

Tanner may or may not be a stooge. I'm leaning towards the latter. I came to this decision so I wouldn't get banned for criticizing a blogger.

Well if you have a minority group making noise about an issue, usually it's the people who dont like that group who complain about it.
- Arctic_AARDVARK

So everyone is racist because they didn't agree with blm stopping the pride parade. Let's not be silly. The cause is all well and good. The approach is brutal imo.

He graduated from Harvard.

He owes Nashville absolutely nothing.

He owes Buffalo even less.

I agree with you but the phrase "black lives should matter as much as white lives but they don't since the police end black lives at a much higher rate than they end white lives" just doesn't fit on a sign.

The problem with the black community is the breakdown of the family. 70% of black babies have been born to single mothers, the last 10 year. There are systemic problems. It's not just about that. It's about opportunity. As trade deals, that don't favour those in North America, keep getting implemented, the entry level jobs dry up and there becomes a vicious circle of hopelessness. I've spent time, in many big U.S. cities and have seen it. Many young black men turn to illegal activities, trying to get what others have and find themselves with a criminal record and incarceration. They seem to vent their anger at the wrong people, the police. Yes, there are bad cops, but 99% are decent and do their jobs. It's the politicians that need to hear their wrath, not just the Republicans either.
- PrinceLH

I agree with much of this, but I'm also glad cameras are now bringing to light incidents in which (frank)ed up cops straight up murder people and then lie about it. The state has the power to kill and incarcerate people and that power must be kept in check. Nothing can do more damage than state power

This is too political for here. I'd bring up the crime rate among the community that blm ignores but it would get taken the wrong way. Also it's worth noting police in america shot more white men than black men. It's like that bus knife guy in Toronto. Hey maybe if you don't go on a bus with a knife acting like a fool you won't get shot? Or you don't steal cigars then try to fight the cop that's arresting you?

Problem is, the camera doesn't always pick up what is really going on. What happened in Ferguson, with Hands Up Don't Shoot, was a fallacy. It never happened. Even a federal probe exonerated the policeman. Until the justice department looks at the whole part of each video and decides to indict, then we have to hold our opinions.

It would be nice to see blm speak out against rap music that does nothing more than degrade women, praise criminal activity, brag about guns and shooting and promoting the N word. Just an idea. But they a minority so it's okay.

The problem with today's society, is the total lawlessness that permeates all facets of society. It comes from the top, when you see someone like Hillary Clinton purger herself, yet gets a pass, after 15 minutes of laying down the reasons that she should be indicted. It happens in both political parties, and the top 1%, or the elites, are the worst. They buy and sell influence, that sells out our society, to enrich themselves. It's why there's racial and religious strife. There are too many race baiter's out there.

Yeah I always struggle with hypocriticalist rap music scene. They endorse this lifestyle, people endorse their endorsement by purchasing the music, and then mimic their favorite rapper on the streets and wonder why society treats them the way they do?

It's not about being Black or White, it's about being an bumhole.

Also, pull those (frank)ing pants up.
