So Habs suck except when Price is in the nets. Price gets all the easy shots.

I GET IT NOW!

I never said Price sucked. I said the Canadian media hype him a lot. Say whatever you'd like, he's statistically had one great season, one or two averages ones and a bunch of below average seasons.

Hockey's a team sport, he's a very good goalie but you still need a team in front of him. Rasks #'s steadily dealing because he's done? Or has the team slowed down a bit the last few years?

Most goalies that lead their teams and are the #1 to represent their country get the media coverage ( Rask included ) or should they be hyping guys like James Reimer?

I disagree with people all the time. Never do I insult them or wish they die. Maybe I'm the one that's wrong.

If you have a sense of humour....then yes.

It's HB and you're in here crushing hopes and dreams ( with nonsense)...what did you expect?

Thanks JT. If not entertaining, then I don't know what is...lol. I enjoyed reading your post, and agreed with most of what you had to say. Weber is on his down side now. Does that mean he's not good? No. He's just not the dominant player he once was; just look at his performance during his last playoff series (he looked slow, and took too many penalties). Oh, and don't get me started on the Vegas Tumbleweeds; a name I chose since the overestimated crowd numbers won't materialize; maybe some numbers for the first few games, but after that....blah.
Rock on JT.

I don't disagree with you. I'm saying that the hype often leads to wrong choices. Remember Theodore winning the Heart trophy? Most media people will tell you (including Bob McKenzie) saying that in hindsight, more people should have voted for Iginla. The Montreal media made the case for Theodore and he ended up winning. Not saying he did or didn't deserve it, just stating that media hype helps. Same for Toews. A lot of non-Hawks fans often say that Toews is their favorite player. I get it. He's a complete player and he's won several championships. As a Bruins fan, I do not believe Toews is far superior to Bergeron. A slight edge maybe but not far superior. Price, because of his demeanor and being a poster boy Canadian, gets hyped by the media a lot. He benefits from this. People who never see Price play will still say he's a great goaltender. I never said he wasn't good, I said he benefits from playing on a team that plays a defensive system. That's my opinion. End of rant.

To not agree with me is fine, to PM me and say I should die is a bit much.

Jesus, really? People are crazy. So you think your team is better than it is? Who cares. You still have Bergeron , Rask and Chara, it's not crazy to think they'll be OK.

Bergeron is significantly better than Toews. For my money the only players better than Bergeron since the lockout are Ovechkin and Crosby. Maybe Datsyuk.

An interesting stat about Larsson- Last season he faced Giroux, Crosby, Ovechkin, Zucarello and Steppan the most 5on5. They combined for 2 points (the rangers pair each had an assist) in combined 182 mins.

Last seaosn, the only players to get more than 2 points against larsson were tarasenko, lehtera, and spooner. (minimum 10 mins against, could be a couple more with less time.

Also, since 2014, Larsson has held Crosby pointless in 66 mins.

I get the trade, but in the long run i think we lose it. I know it is the unpopular opinion, but boy the EDM and other fans saying we ripped them off are out to lunch.

Best moves oilers done in past two yrs that will get team on winning track.
1) remove old boys club from having final say in hockey ops
2) hire proven people, Nicholson, Chiarelli McLellan to run hockey side
3) drafting McDavid
4) trading Hall
5) signing Lucic

Will we ever hear the ending to the Hall trade Tanner? Made ur point it's so far from right it's left! Lol Talk in December and see what this trade looks like from then a TEAM TEAM TEAM TEAM perspective. I was not one to bash hall when he was here or when he got traded. He's a fantastic winger! But again this trade betters the team. Your probly better off just stick'n with the yotes.

Or It might be a great trade for both team. Those do happen even though they are rare.

I have my "issues" with Toews' game the last few years and think he's over paid.

But in which way or statistic is Bergeron "significantly" better than Toews? I actually think they are the exact same player

Toews is a real good guy but you're right about the money, a bit too much.
