Reading hockeybuzz too much? Total fabrication. - Bruiniak
So they traded him because he was just way too good?
Makes sense
It's not HB that states he was traded because of personality issues.
But you believe what you want.

Subban was traded because Therrien is a twit and he doesn't know how to use players effectively. Bergevin likes third and fourth line players way too much. Go on generalfanager and look at the number of third and fourth line players they have signed, it's actually comical. |

James Tanner: Top 9 Worst Moves of the NHL Off-Season (So Far) - James_Tanner
. The Las Vegas (Insert Likely Lame Team Name Here) Hire George McPhee
Here's an idea: Hire someone young, smart and college educated to run your team.
George McPhee, who's greatest success came from drafting Alex Ovechkin - something literally anyone would have done - is a perfect example of how crappy most NHL teams are run.
"Hey, with the money we can pay, we have our choice of literally any smart young genius in the country."
"No, let's just do what everyone else does and limit our search to the six ex-GMs who view the game like it no longer exists and who aren't good enough for the other 30 teams to hire." - James_Tanner
Players drafted by Mcphee other than Ovechkin: Brian Sutherby, Matt Pettinger, Johnny Oduya, Steve Eminger, Alex Semin, Boyd Gordon, Eric Fehr, Mike Green, Nick Backstrom, Semyon Varlamov, Michael Nuevirth, Matthieu Perraullt, Karl Alzner, John Carlson, Brayden Holtby, Marcus Johansson, Cody Eakin, Dmitri Orlov, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Filip Forsberg, Tom Wilson and Andre Burakovsky.
For someone who claims to be superior to others, all you had to do was go to any draft website. |

Believe what you'd like. Go back and watch the system Therrien employs. It's actually less entertaining than any system Lemaire or Boucher ever tried. It's a defensive system that would even make Bernier look good. - Bruiniak
Then why did Condon look like poop for most of the year? Why did Tokarski look like poop for most of the year? Why did Scrivens look like poop for most of the year? Why did Price have a 2.06 GAA & a .934 SV% in his 12 games this year when those three had a 2.71, 3.19, 3.07 GAA and a .903, .878, .906 SV%? |

Boy. You are in for quite the disappointment. Weber is not the same player. You clearly haven't seen him play in quite a while. - Bruiniak
If im right most players this past year stated that Weber is the hardest player to play against. (toews is one) |

Wait, this is the one thing I would think Habs fans would agree with me. You actually think Therrien's system is entertaining? To each their own, I guess. - Bruiniak
I don't consider Therrien's system to be either more boring or entertaining than other systems around the league.
The laughable part is about you saying it's so effective it explains Price's success.

According to Tanner if you're under 30 and have a working knowledge of MS Excel you qualify to run an NHL club. |

That is quite the talented group of goaltenders you just named. Condon won 20 games as a rookie. The entire group crumbled because they are weak. Plekanec and Russian Markov mailed it in mid-year. There was no effort. |

Pretty sure his first name is Andrei.... not Russian.
But it only adds to the great credibility you've built on this site. |

yep GM traded elite D because Therrien didn't like him.
There's more to it, but let's pretend you win.
Cheers

Just watch the number of actual difficult saves he has to make in a game. It's very telling.
I remember a specific game in 2014-2015 where Bruins had 40 some shots against Price. At least 90% of those shots came from the side of the boards. Weak shots. The media was all over Price for making so many unreal saves. I could not believe it. It was of the easiest wins I had ever seen by a goaltender. |

He was asking why other goaltenders didn't share the same success so I said look at those goalies. |

So Habs suck except when Price is in the nets. Price gets all the easy shots.

Thanks JT. If not entertaining, then I don't know what is...lol. I enjoyed reading your post, and agreed with most of what you had to say. Weber is on his down side now. Does that mean he's not good? No. He's just not the dominant player he once was; just look at his performance during his last playoff series (he looked slow, and took too many penalties). Oh, and don't get me started on the Vegas Tumbleweeds; a name I chose since the overestimated crowd numbers won't materialize; maybe some numbers for the first few games, but after that....blah.
Rock on JT. |
