I would think if I lived in a desert I would go to every hockey game I could just to cool off. Even if I wasn't a fan.

This may come as a surprise to you, but air conditioners are available for purchase in Arizona.

Not when I went in the late 80's. You had to find a tree to stand under.

Balls dripping humidity again.

Can't really complain though. This summer has been quite nice with low humidity.

Well they certainly seem incredibly committed to not only an A1 product on the ice but also to make it an enjoyable experience. So far it's just talk, but I have to say...I'm really, genuinely impressed with the new owners so far.

Yeah it certainly sounds good. I like the way they're saying "John Tavares will lift the cup" and the focus is on JT in a lot of what they say. Very smart using that kind of language when the onus is going to be on getting the guy signed.

The guy certainly knows how to win people over. Really hope he follows through on all he mentioned.

One thing I found particularly astute was how much importance he placed on the happiness/well-being of the wives. In terms of attracting free agents, you'd better believe that the married guys' wives have a say in the process. If Free Agent X's wife hates the area/team/etc... that's going to all-but-guarantee the guy isn't signing here. It's a majorly smart workaround to making the Islanders more attractive to outside players.

Don't blame him for the quoting error. His wife got a little excited watching Dora the Explorer and was swinging her hands around.

My niece and that show. I tried to get her to watch Scarface the other day, her parents said no. (frank)ing parents these days.

Agree Chief, Obviously he addressed these issues because I don't think the prior owners were keen enough to address them. Getting to the game, the way the wives and kids are treated, feed etc. is huge. Happy wife is a happy life! The Barclays experience etc. fans are the stock holders, I love that!

When someone is a FA and is offered similar money and leaves, that's a problem. I'm excited to see him execute his ideas and transform the Islanders into one of the premiere teams in the league

We were all over it 7. Vanek probably should not have listened to the Mrs. but I'm glad he did.

I cried as well after reading that part John. My man love for Ledecky took a little hit for sure, but nobody is perfect.

Someone get Josh Bailey's number and pay a stripper to text him nudes all day long. She'll find it eventually.
