I expect them to sign him to between 10 and 10.5 per for 8 years, a good chunk of it front loaded and almost all of it as bonuses rather than salary. |

Jamie Benn just signed an 8 year deal for $76 MM, so your estimate sounds about right. |

strome like nelson has no bargaining power. Isles policy is if you aren't signed by first day of camp you sit out. he will cave.
he can prove he worth it on the ice this year. - Spartiarti
Add him to the package for Duchene or Landeskog |

Kucherov isn't signed yet, lightning may not be able to fit him without moving something else out. Just a rumor and unlikely but he'd be a huge improvement to the top six if they were able to get him and keep barzal (Nelson and barzal would likely end up as 2c and 3c). Have to figure it would cost strome, 1st and possibly a d (dehaan?) |

If I was told Strome in 2 years will become a 75+ point player, I would still move him and other pieces for Kucherov. I'd love to have him play with JT. |

Bishop and others will be moved to make cap space. KUCHEROV is not getting moved. |

Yea you cant move kucherov if youre tampa he is a clutch player and steps up in the playoffs. Vasiliesky (sp?) Is a solid keeper im sure Bishop goes to not be exposed in the expansion draft |

So much for that
@FriedgeHNIC
Sounds like TB and Alex Killorn finishing a seven-year deal at $4.45M per |

Because Yzerman has been getting it done over there in Tampa. He's been great building a winner. The guys just a beast, on and off the ice. I guess he's transfering his elite leadership to managing now........good on him. |

The funny thing is how many people (not talking about isles fans) ripped yzerman during the year saying he was mishandling the drouin and stamkos situations. |

I dont believe thats what was said. I believe what was said was letting Stamkos walk for nothing would have been asset mismanagement. In regards to Drouin, I dont believe anyone said anything negative about Yzerman, as he wasnt the one who was pouting and making demands. In the end though it all worked out well for the franchise. One could make an argument that Stevie Y made that happen....
On the contrary, Snow has too much dead weight on this team......lets see what he does by opening night. |

I don't think you can find a roster around the league for a contending team that doesn't have some mistakes. For all that tampas doing, they still have Callahan and needed to buy out a d. It happens, it's how you get rid of those problems.
As far as drouin, there were a ton of comments from people around the league that said yzerman was making a mistake by not keeping drouin up and for how that was handled. A ton. |
