Hey Bill, I know there was talk about the Wheaties trying to bring in Wade Allison...is that just a pipe dream? Do you think the Flyers would rather him be in the WHL in Brandon, a place they'd certainly feel comfortable with, for probably a year next to Patrick before going to the AHL the year after?

He is older, so if he played in CHL instead of USHL, he could've done that anyway. Plus Western Michigan kind of sucks. A player of his age and size, working on his skills on a good Brandon team before going to the AHL might be better development.

But he wasn't drafted out of the CHL....unless I'm under the wrong impression, if after a player is drafted and leaves for the CHL, he can still leave after 1 year to join the AHL.

But I'm not sure that rule even matters because he's old for his draft year and will turn 20 the October after next. So he could leave early anyway. It just seems like such a better path for his development not going to a poopty WMU team for only a year or two, but instead a very good Brandon team then a very good LHV team.
