Rask is also 2 years younger and his 48 points put him among the 50 most productive C's in the league.

Like it or not, last season 50(ish) points made you a solid top 6 guy.

Two things one a surprise the other plain curious. 1. Weber for Subban trade was the shocker of all especially after and on the heels of the Hall Larson one. The fall out of character assassination towards Subban and the hubris of it all was surprising and shocking given his character.

2nd is the lack of signing by first overall pick Auston Mathews. Is this not bizarre already? He has not signed a deal that is essentially capped and why? Not to start a rumour but the guy has hardly appeared thrilled to be a Leaf- perhaps he doesn't want to be there. Anyhow that's the curious thing so far this off-season.
